Alonso thinks he is a Samurai, Trulli looks like a Samurai in that picture.

All-time greatest jump-start:
Pastor Maldonado at Spa this year. Would've surely been one of the greatest legitimate starts of all time had he waited just a few extra thousandths of a second to put his foot in it.

All time greatest Carnage : Belgian Gp at Spa 1998 with 8 car finishing
All time closest finish: Ayrton Senna vs. Nigel Mansell 1986 - Jerez (schumi barichello 2002 doesn't count)
All time happiest Press conference by kimi : brazil 2007 (btw, if u only listen to it, he sounds like hulkenberg :p )

Slightly off topic, but JYS looks very much like Ian Hendry as Eric Paice from the '71 Brit-Noir classic Get Carter :)

Jean Alesi will always hold that title ;) . People talk about Senna at Donington, pfft that's nothing. Alesi started last and overtook the entire grid before the first corner :lol: .

All time most unlucky team taking itself out from the race:

Ferrari at Monza 1995: At the pitstop a mechanic bumps wheel against Alesi's airbox camera, which subsequently falls off and destroys Berger's front suspension. Later on the loose camera cable damages Alesi's wheel bearing and leeds to retirement.

All-time greatest English adaptation of a foreign driver's name: Alex Soler-Roig -> Alex Sausage-Roll

All-time greatest undermining of a sponsor: the March mechanic who, underneath a sticker Alex Ribeiro had put up saying "Jesus Saves", added a sticker saying "Green Shield Stamps"

All-time greatest attempt to have a Grand Prix career: Hans Heyer, who, having failed to qualify for the 1977 German Grand Prix, got in his car and started anyway

All-time greatest post-retirement residence: Rikky von Opel, who quit Brabham to live in Tibet for a while on family money

All-time greatest help to a slow telex typist: the Dutch driver Ben Pon. Honourable mention to B. Bira and Gimax

All-time greatest special: the Noc-Out Hose Clamp (1941 Indy winner). Extremely dishonourable mention to the Free Lt. Calley Special, Soapy Castles' Dodge at a race in South Carolina. For those who don't know, William Calley ordered troops under his command to kill 500 civilians in My Lai. His life sentence for murder was very unpopular in the South

All-time greatest nickname: Herman "The Turtle" Beam, so called for his Ottorino Volonterio-like pace. Also has all-time greatest reason for being black-flagged - for a qualifying race at Daytona he forgot to put on his crash helmet

all time greatest driver-mechanic relationship: Ricardo Rossets mechanics at Tyrrell rearranging the name on his scooter to say 'tosser'.
