I wonder if the power of TNF can help? As a young marshal I remember pushing Maggie Blankstone's GT40 at Harewood start line. I believe this car is now owned by Mr Edmonds; I also recall it being bright green. Can anybody confirm please- and if details of car's competition career are available that would be great. (tried a couple of searches on here to no avail )

It is indeed. It's chassis 1072, sold originally to John Cussins. Here's the potted history from Ronnie Spain's bible:

and here are some hillclimb results for John Cussins:

ETA: Here's a photo of Maggie Blankstone in the car at Bouley Bay:

It might be worth contacting Stuart McCrudden for Edmonds-period GT40 info as he was involved with Noel/'s cars in period IIRC.

I believe Edmonds has had two Fords
The other 1014....NNO 14C which was bought new by a friend Karl Richardson
But I may be wrong.

I seem to recall him appearing on Top Gear some years ago extolling the virtues of a Mk 1 as a road car. I believe the idea was to get a (then fairly youthful) Jeremy Clarkson to drive a GT40, but his size prevented him from doing so.
I can't remember the exact details, but I don't believe the car was light green with white leather upholstery (yuk!), as Ronnie Spain's book states his "first" car was. Also, I would have said that this was later than 1984, by which time he had apparently sold the green car to the US. I believe it was some shade of blue, with halibrand wheels - and had a windscreen sticker/ sun shield with the name of his production company on it (don't ask me why I remember that!).
