Read that Schumacher the greater has most of his old cars at his museum (?) but wondered who else has theirs? McLaren has held onto all theirs since Dennis took over in around 1980, hasn't it?

IIRC Button owns one of the chassis Reubens raced - with there being 3 BGP001 chassis, MGP have retained the one chassis Button ran through the year and the other Rubens run chassis. They proposed to build up another chassis to give to Button rather than giving him a genuine race car, but they eventually gave him one of the genuine chassis - but not his title winning chassis.

As far as I know, Alonso has everything, from karting to F1. Also almost all the helmets from his rivals.
I believe Hamilton has a couple of helmets as well, and Seb keeps everything from boots and race suits to his cars.

Kimi has at least one Mac, saw it in 2006. Looked like MP4-17. Apparently without engine though.
I'm surprised to hear that compulsive possessive Ron Dennis even give a real car away???

Pretty sure that Jody Scheckter has a collection of his old cars.
He sure does, a beautiful collection that I've been lucky enough to see, and I'll post a picture or two of his Wolf WR1 and Ferrari 312T4 when I can find them. He's now got most of his favourite cars, hence no Tyrrell P34....! This months Motorsport has a great article on his collection. Pretty sure Nigel Mansell's got one or two of his cars too.

Another car that Ronzo didn't get was an M5A driven by Jo Bonnier. This was" powered " by a BRM engine. After yet another BRM engine failure Jo decided the best place for the car was bolted to a wall in his house. Good move Jo.I'm surprised to hear that compulsive possessive Ron Dennis even give a real car away???
I think I have also seen a photo of Steve McQueen standing in front of a Gulf 908 bolted to a wall in his house.

I don't know what's harder, driving an F1 car or trying to click a link on that site? Maybe it's because I'm using Chrome. Never knew that existed though.DC's got 3 of his - http://www.dcmuseum.co.uk
