Excellent. Driving for McLaren must be a dream come true for any young driver. I hope he can make the most of it.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what Perez can do in the 28'. I'm almost ashamed to say I'll be following Lewis over to Mercedes for my weekend supporting, as JB has never really appealed to me - but I'll always have one eye on Perez, hoping he can make the most of the season. A drive like this so early in a career can ruin you if not taken seriously!

Love the helmet in the background. If it is intentional that all helmets read "Honda".
Mika´s helmet certainly doesn´t.

Those are the helmets of three of Mclaren's last four world driver's champions. Hakkinen's would read "Mercedes", but in this particular shot Perez's head is in the way. They've taken out Hamilton's, which may be fair enough because that would be interpreted in a "big shoes to fill" sort of way. Or it could be because Whitmarsh is frantically running around the Mclaren Technology Centre erasing all memories of THAT MAN.

Then they're doing a sloppy job since Lewis is still everywhere on their site, facebook etc.

How do we know it's not just out of shot?

They're probably too scared of the reaction if they unfriend him.
Well done.

Nice
Last year's Sauber teamwear looked somewhat similar to Macca's (just bit more and darker grey), so macca wear fits him already

That room has been used for shots in the past with those same helmets lined up and I can assure you Hamilton's helmet is just out of shot that's all. Those are the helmets of three of Mclaren's last four world driver's champions. I wonder if Perez will be able to beat Button on points over 3 years?

You are looking at the a future WDC right there. I expect him to be right up there this year maybe even win it if McLaren come out strong!
I wonder what the odds for him are?
Currently 17/1 on betfair. Longer than Lewis at 13/1 which is interesting....
Might stick a fiver on.

Very generous i'd throw 20 on him ! I think he would be McLarens top driver. I wrote him off in the past but something tells me he is going to shock many people. One thing for sure, he is someone who likes to prove himself and I cant see him backing down one bit like the Webbers and Massa's of F1.

Checo mustn't of had a chance to get to the barbers before his visit, sky interview sounded like he was just of the plane.
Have you seen Jenson's hair recently? he does Head & Shoulder's ads it's not like he's lacking in that department.

He could be a disaster, theres been a fair few errors which do raise some questions, but he's a quick great driver (and seems like a nice guy) so you never know. Any driver for mclaren should be there challenging for wins certainly, and if you can do that, you have a change at the title if the cards and results fall right.
PS when was the last Mclaren driver which didn't win a race for them (not counting temporary drivers such as de la Rosa (although for 8 races), or Wurz etc). Mark Blundell in 95 maybe?

McLaren is the best place for him to improve himself. Let's wait and see if he is going to be a new Kimi or new Lewis. He needs a bit work in GYM though. No worries, Aki Hintsa will look after him
