I have been encouraged to enter as consistency is the secret, & if I finish every round I could possibly take a class win in a 43 year old car.........THAT would be a WOO-HOO moment. Anyway the object is to HAVE FUN!! Wish me luck.

Sorry folks, I am currently campaigning the Murray Bingham built 'Bingham Renault MK3'. Some of you will surely know of it or remember seeing it in action during the 70s in hillclimbs & motorkhanas. If I was more computer literate I'd post a current piccy.
Hopefully this is the car you're talking about. http://www.aussiefro...ead.php?t=24949
If so, I've got a pic or two of it from Mt Tarrengower a few years ago just after it returned to the track (with you at the tiller?). If I get brave enough I might bite the bullet and post a pic for the first time.

Silverdale of course.
I have no idea of the date; early '70s I suppose.
I will try to find the original slide if I have time; it may be date-marked.
I seem to remember that Cap'n Binghamton ran it in this decidely-unfinished form for quite some time.

YES YES, thats 'MURRAY', thank you for a great pic, any more?
25-10-70 or 25-5-75 or 26-10-75 or 29-2-76 according to the logbook if its MK3.
12-10-69 or 22-3-70 if its MK2. Log book says changed to Torrid violet & Brim gold 1-5-70 so..............
HOT HOT day at Winton Motor Raceway today but managed a 1:45:58, 2sec improvement so very happy. Might require a tweak of the camber compensator as the outside half of the tyres took a beating. A renault at 'full song' is music to the ears, & a few spectators backed that up.

YEESSS!, thats 'MURRAY' & my avatar shows him at winton, early 2013. Got the shock of my life after taking 2nd in class in the Pedders/Midland Sprint Series. This was against modern machinery like
Radical SR3
Aussie racecar
Chevron Shadow
Nota Vee
Toyota 86
Westfield FW B1
Mygale SJ09a
McArlus M8A
Consistency certainly pays & I am 'hot to trot' for round 1 2014, 15th Feb.
If ANYONE has more piccies of 'MURRAY' past or present, they would be most definately appreciated.

Are you saying Murray Bingham drove the car in the eighties or last year?
Please clarify...

Hi Ray, I don't know about the 80s but I have been maintaining & driving 'MURRAY' for the last 6 years, on behalf of the owner.
He bought the car, I believe, at a market/swap meet? in Wodonga in about 05/06.
cheers, Roger

Okay, Roger...
So you are referring to the car as "Murray" while it appears you are talking about its constructor.
I'm sure that Joel's questions are now answered.
