Wait until Nathan Rollison hits our screens in an episode of Casualty later this year, you'll think even worse of him then! :/

Sorry sir, I don't know what you are talking about... :well:

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

But the main thing is... All this fuss is good for him and his career? I don't think so and I am sure he could stop it if he wanted to. Perhaps a new manager could redirect this matter...

Please explain how all this fuss isn't a good thing for a man who seems to be the centre of attention of his chosen sport, and has just signed a $100,00,000 three year deal with one of the worlds biggest car manufacturers to secure his services.

Is he the center of attention because of what? Because of winning championships? Because of having great sporting seasons? I don't think so...

And we'll have to wait and see if his decision to move to Mercedes will be a good one or not.

About the money? Oh yeah, I guess he is a wealthy man, congratulations for that...

Interesting choice for a PR guy/Manager, a convicted fraudster.

Ain't it always the same with Hamilton? Makes incredibly smart and considerate career decisions all the time, but then invariably the people he grants the privilege of working with him turn out not good enough.

His management is looking to structure his endorsements much like the current pro tennis players and golfers. It is going to be interesting to watch what they do with this.

Bottom line is, don't sweat too much over giving life advice to people being on top on their game and making 30 million a year, because this is all you seem to be doing.

We were advised to go back to the topic but I guess I can answer your message above. I give advice to nobody, it's just my opinion. Nothing more, nothing less.

And about changing management so often, I don't think it is good for him or for whoever else. Since he became world champion, he has had more downs than ups... The reason... Who knows! Perhaps a new manager could help him to go back to his good times but the main factor here right now, it's his landing in Mercedes. I wish him the best.

I dunno, even rich, successful people need help too. When I used to drop the girls off for Tiger Woods, if only I said to him, "Tye, don't do it! Think of the sanctity of your endorsements," he still might've been on top of his game today. Hindsight is a beautiful thing though :| .

My take is the exact opposite of yours. I cheered as Lewis stomped on the racial barrier when he came into F1 and quickly proved that he was in the first rank of all drivers.

The lying in Australia in 2009 exposed a deep character flaw. 2011? The manner in which Hamilton drove was not befitting a champion. The penalties. "It's cuz Iz bla...." And the dude went Hollywood, mentally at least.

And in 2012 Hamilton released team telemetry via Twitter. Maturity? Love the earrings and tattoos, too.

Maybe new management will upgrade Hamilton's intelligence to the level of his driving skills.

I do not understand how folks find this guy likable. Nationality perhaps?

Interesting..

I'm not inclined to want to argue with you about it either. Partly because I don't disagree with any specific thing you said, and partly because I just don't care much one way or the other. :)

I guess the main thing that's annoyed me about him in the last few seasons is the way he snaps at his team via radio.. in the heat of the moment. Where all the PR spin goes away and the drivers are under pressure etc. The twitter thing was pretty funny from a non McLaren/Hamilton fan point of view. Probably not so funny from others point of view though.

One thing that bothered me about Hamilton early on.. was he seemed to listen to his father to much.. and thought he was easily the best driver in F1 etc.. just because of the car he was driving. Then the 2009 rule changes happened and he seemed to realise it more. The way it all works.. and that all F1 drivers are good drivers.. especially the top 10. Also.. early on.. he'd isolate himself from other drivers. Over the years he seems to better understand what F1 is like.. and is also on much better terms with most of the drivers.. including Alonso. That's where the maturity thing comes from but obviously.. it's a relative scale. :p

Nice Jet Lewis.
Management can't be that bad.
Although since Lewis signed the old manager, couldn't hear about a big business/sponsor brought to him.

Rubbish. Three of his four seasons since becoming world champion were excellent. His most recent was his best. All he can do is perform at his top level as much as possible and hope he has the car to compete.

You aren't concluding that Hamilton has a problem based on discernible premises. You are starting from the position that he has a problem and trying desperately to come up with symptoms which explain your flawed diagnosis.

As others have mentioned, I think with every year that passes it is becoming less relevant who Hamilton has as a manager. Hamilton has shown he can act like a tit out of the car without it affecting his on track performances, which is all that matters really. Appointing a new manager is a purely commercial decision. Also, I feel we may start seeing more of his dad again.

Oh i think Mr Shine might be a perfect fit.

Meanwhile.

"If you compare the two (teams), you must come to the conclusion that there were no sporting reasons for him to leave McLaren," Tony Dodgins, a veteran British journalist, is quoted by the Swiss magazine Speed Week.
