My computer keeps hanging when I'm on the forum, but not when I'm navigating around stories on the site nor when on the live timing from Barcelona.
This morning, it seems as though I've at least got to the bottom of understanding the problem. The site clock and the forum clock are not synchronized, there is a difference which varies between 4 and 6 minutes. The site clock, as well as my computer are both correct and show the same time, the forum is ahead by these minutes.
If I read a thread, the forum clock freezes until I leave that thread. If I am ready to leave the thread at a correct time prior to the the forum clock, it freezes until my computer clock reads at least the time of the forum clock.
That's AOK provided there are a few posts to read. The forum clock resets, 4-6 minutes in the future on every navigation, so were I to click on to a thread with only one reply, the computer may be frozen for 5-6 minutes until it gets to at least the forum clock time.
Clearly my trusty Sony is refusing to participate in time travel, with which I am complete agreement as I have no wish to either else I would aquire a Tardis. As King proved conclusively in 11.22.63, the consequences could be dire.

Now ten minutes fast ...The clock does seem to be advancing further. When this was first pointed out this afternoon it was about six minutes ahead of my system clock - it's now eight minutes fast.

Maybe somebody's been feeding the hamster steroids?
Or he's been replaced by the snail from the "Turbo" movie?
