Raikkonen sure loves his Oakleys, I have seen him wearing like a dozen variants of the Dispatch-line of sunglasses

according to kimi, he has sensitive eyes, so he wears sunglasses outdoors, as for his baseball cap, he says he just likes to wear them, even indoors.

Proof of the above?

Proof that the marketing team at Lotus (assuming this is genuine merchandise) is a bit sad. PS: Magnum is owned by Unilever which also owns Clear, Sure and Rexona. Not a reflection on Kimi IMO.

EDIT: only seven hours to FP1 and the missus is out getting me some beer (well it's her turn to do the shopping) Posted Image

Ahhh...

Just driven a 900 mile round trip to buy a new car which has taken 2 days! Back just in time to chill out and wait for FP1, and no work until monday.

F1 is back!

That little 'T' at the highest point on the car, in the middle, behind the driver and on top of the engine air intake.

Thanks

Methinks not.

Same here. 10-12, and then three stints on the medium, meaning a three-stopper.

i think they were measuring it in moderate fuel load, not full tank at the start of the GP.

Hembery said that on Sky, during Sky coverage of testings

Croft asked him how much laps would the SS do in first stint of Australian GP, and he answered something around 10 laps, IIRC

mind you, the kimi bit was the most entertaining one :smoking:

If someone filmed Raikkonen sleep for 8 hours you'd still think it was entertaining.

Am I the only one getting a strange rapey vibe from your talk of videotaping drivers sleeping and arguing over how entertaining they would be to watch?

Yeah, eronrules could tone it down a bit with the Kimi-hype.

... and was the race engineer for Graham Hill in his second WDC year in 1968. I'd love to exchange as much as a "good morning" with someone with roots in the sport like Herbie has. Talk about jealous! :cat:

I think it does, it was directed at old mate who mentioned filming kimi asleep which started this whole discussion.

I'd love to pretend I knew this stuff off the top of my head but I make a point of checking (i.e. Googling) the history of anyone in F1 who's been around for a while, because a lot of them have a fascinating background dripping in F1 history. You see Herbie these days in the winners' paddock after the race and a lot of viewers must think he's just part of the boring FIA establishment. The old bloke who pats the winner on the shoulder and steers them towards the stairs to the cool-down room. In reality, he was up to his eyeballs in grease and engine oil while spannering a WDC car to victory in F1's golden age for one of the sport's legendary teams and drivers before most of today's fans were born. Respect!

Raikkonen's a bit like marmite. personally I just fine him rude, if I earned the money he earns I would be move than happy to talk in a press conferrence and with a smile on my face

You don't know him personally so please stop.
Some people are very uncomfortable speaking in public and it's obvious Kimi is not feeling well in these situations. Look how Vettel quite often say something to Kimi to make him feel little better. Vettel is a personal friend to Kimi and likely understand how Kimi feel in these situations.

All humans are different!
