The second column is out. Really great insight - even for those who are not fans of his.

I give him an A. It was a nice little introductory piece.
I feel cheated, I was expecting him to say something stupid again and I would have a belly laugh. Maybe next time.

How scripted can it get? Its all Andrew Benson right there. Disney-like. I wish hed really sat behind a typewriter, and fire away, as much non-pc as possible.

Prove it.

That is the case but it was also the same with Webber and Anderson. Webber/Hamilton both speak to Anderson/Benson in conjunction with Red Bull/Mercedes down the telephone and then they type the column up and its done."Lewis Hamilton was talking to BBC Sport's Andrew Benson"

Wow. Haters really are gonna hate, who'd have thought it?
Btw it's already been said that it's a conversation between him and Benson, so no he doesn't write it, but it's 100% him.

How do you think the Mark Webber columns worked last year?"Lewis Hamilton was talking to BBC Sport's Andrew Benson"

It'll be the same for whichever driver does it next.

True, but with Webber I got a lot more the impression the topics were Marks idea, not Andrew Benson.

I just find it amusing how something as innocent as a nicely written article which reflects well on Lewis is instantly turned into something other than that by those who wish to see him be as "non-pc as possible", practically saying they'd like to see him do something stupid. People can't even let him have this, quite incredible .

. Id rather Lewis would sit down himself and thrown in some juicy tales about mcLaren, or anything else more racing related, unstructured and only with some grammar corrections.
Posted 22 March 2013 - 15:13
Can you expand on that?
I think a lot of people don't realistically expect that, we'd no doubt love to hear some of the sleaze but it's often counter productive for drivers to go about slating their previous teams. Especially bearing in mind the level of virtriol Lewis instills in his detractors, it would be a red rag to them and used to endlessly bash him with. Could you imagine the 'digging rights' if he wrote the column like his twitter account? I'm glad the BBC insist on proof reading!!
So although it's likely to be pretty vanilla stuff, we can kinda only comment/judge his column within the context it's written in. I agree on more focused racing comments but we'll hopefully see more as he gets into his stride with it all.
