Totally out of the blue performance from Merc and FI. Vettel is as predictable as always. Fast on one lap, but the RBR is having serious issues with the tire wear.

I would say Button and Force India were the surprises.

I am going to be very surprised if Lewis does not say something about these tires unless he made some mistake himself. WTH!

I think they have the car set up to give better tire wear on the hards to the detriment of the mediums.

Kimi won the 1st race in Melbourne 2007.... and got sabotaged by White stuff around his fuel tank thereafter.

New "Powderman" on the loose around Kimi's garage... just need to find the mole

If the tyres last for 1 stopper, they cry these tyres are stones. If they last for 3 stopper, they cry these tyres are cheese. There is no satisfying some F1 fans.

Don't know what you're talking about, but any powder either around, or in the fuel cell wouldn't shift the balance in his car.

Nigel Stepney put some kind of white powder in the fuel tanks of Raikkonen and Massa at Monaco 2007. I don't see any connection to Malaysia 2013. I guess someone is seeing black helicopters.

I don't think tyre longevity is the main concern for many. I believe its more a case of how the tyres wear and perform, e,g drivers having to really nurse tyres, yet still participate in multiple stops.

You completely hit the nail on its head. People alway cry over everything. Team will get used to these tyres in a couple of races' time and after that the number of pit stops will be reduced, so there is no point in whining about it. I love the high number of stops, it just spices thing up.

I don't know about that.....

The problem at least according to the TV annalists, is extreme temperature degradation. Hence some of the delamination we are seeing. I don't have a problem with extreme degradation, but delamination is not only unacceptable, it's dangerous................

Nobody cried at one stoppers, instead most people praised races like USA 2012 as being very good.

I don't mind lots of stops, I do mind them poodling along to a delta in between them.

Last race with 2-3 stops were ok, but when we start to talk about 3-5 stops..

Yes, this is what I was referring to.... just in jest ofcourse, without the helipad.

Kimi wins first race, gets sabotaged thereafter...

Nobody does not mean just you. I remember so much moaning about drivers just having to follow each other when the tyres lasted for so long and there was no hope of overtake.

Longevity or otherwise is not the issue. They are not fit for purpose.

It was in 2010, there was no KERS and DRS, and the car had DDD or TDD who cause a lot of dirty air, it was impossible for a car to follow another car closely.

Now, the DDD is out, i think F1 need more durable tyres, to have some race like Austin 2012.
