Does anyone know some news about GP3 and it`s release date? Hasbro Software announced it will be released at the end of the year, but other sources said it will be delayed until the first quarter of 2000.
Any news?
Thank you,
Grand Prix 3

I don't know much about it, I thought the release date was august 99 or september 99. I also thought Activision had the rights from Micropose now, and that they will use diffrent langueage commentary!!!!
We can finally get Dutch commentary! HEHE! Cool! And I hope they use Murray Walker for the Britisch coverage!
Kind regards,

Yes, it was officially confirmed by a press release, that Hasbro Interactive has bought all rights from Microprose on future racing games...including the work of Geoff Crammond GP3.
I don`t know anything about the language support, I hope there will be a good english speaker.
And, hopefully Geoff includes a well-designed wet race modus

According to the latest info from Hasbro, Grand Prix 3 will be released on late October 1999. Little weird, because last time they announced that it'll be released on 1st quarter of 2000. Here is what they reply to me:
"Grand Prix III is tentatively slated for release in late October 99. Currently GP3 is planning to include all the cars, tracks, and drivers from the 1998 season. When released, it will be available directly from Hasbro Interactive in our Online Store at www.hasbrointeractive.com or by calling 1-800-400-1352. It will also be available at major software and games retailers." (HIW Support <HIW@hasbro.com> )
On the latest AutoSport magazine there is an advert from Hasbro-Microprose where they are looking for artists and programmers for GP3. Here is the advert or view a screen shot:

grandprix2.com (the BEST GP2 site on the net i might add) said GP3 was delayed until the first quater of 2000.
Someone said it would feature the 98 season. That probably explains the delay in release, because the game was originally going to include the 97 season.
We've also been promised wet races. I hope their is no commentary because it makes the game more arcade-ish, which is why GP2 is the best game ever, because it doesn't look or feel like an arcade game.
