He's not done yet, heading after Castroneves...
Now that would be the icing on the cake.

Time for our mediocre driver round-up as powered by Lotus Judd...
SdS might actually finish worse here in a Chevy than she did in a Lotus powered car

Nice race. Guess RHR deserved it after passing HCN and just hanging on at the end there. Right on the limit judging by the number of minor errors in the last laps too.
Hope all the beer-drinkers got their moneys worth ;)
No. The beer drinkers did not. Good race, but really not a good spectator course.

That's JoNewg's first Indycar top 10? Colour me surprised. Good for him.
Yeah, shame about Vautier though, he really faded after the stops. Stalling in the pits cost Allmendinger a top 10 I think. Bad day for Simona de Silvestro too, 19th and she was close to being lapped.
Kimball 4th in the end, for a while there it looked like he had a good shot at the podium. Unconventional pass on Power but it worked for him.

Great to see them fall flat on their face after trying a bit too hard to be smart.Glad neither of the Penskes won after blocking RHR.

I'm pretty sure he's joking, neither Penske had the pace of RHR while they were ahead of him for different reasons (fuel for Power, tyres for Castro) so obviously they held him up. Their strategy with Power made a lot of sense, and they didn't lose any places.

Bad sight lines?
Yeah. For such a compact track, try really could do a better job with that.
Did get to see a great pass on will power in the closing laps at the end of the backstretch.

Yeah. We stopped by. It was alright. I am not a motorcycle guy, so it didn't really do a lot for me. Not a waste of $15 but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
Nice time at the track.

Castroneves had the fastest race car (though we never know how fast Power could have been due to be saving fuel all race), i.e. he socred the fastest lap. The problem is that he was blocked by Power on the first 2 (re)strats and he was 11th after the 11st stint so he had to do something to shake up, so he changed strategy in order to make up ground.
In the last stint, even on primes, he was the 3rd fastest car on the track.
Penske was 8th and 11th after the 1st and they finished the raca 5th and 3rd. This was far from being a bad race.

Barber is surprisingly racy.
Barber always looks like it should suck (ala Mid-Ohio [too twisty and too narrow], which Ross mentions 2 posts later). But, it doesn't. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it might be the raciest road course in the United States.

We need a proper competition to decide who gets to make the OP for the Indy 500 thread.
