Source for 1/43 tyres?

Can anybody who makes 1/43 kits regularly (i.e. more regularly than I do, which is not very often) tell me whether there is a source of reasonably-priced replacement tyres?

I have a part-built 1965 Ferrari 1512 Grand Prix car and the tyres that are with it are far too narrow, more like early 1950s; I have searched at toyfairs such as Sandown Park where there are usually several stands selling replacements for diecast toys, but haven't found anything suitable. Trawling the 'net hasn't worked so far, either. Measuring the tread width/OD/ID required has shown me that there are one or two diecasts with tyres of the right size, and I'm not so fussy that they wouldn't do - but replacements for those particular ones seem to be unavailable. I don't want to buy another model or toy just for the tyres....

Going off-topic, and while on unobtainable spares for diecasts; I have a Solido Ferrari 312P coupé (Le Mans 1969 no. 18) with the plastic rear window moulding missing, does anyone know if Solido spares are available anywhere?

At Sandown or Kempton there used to be a stallholder who did wheels and tyres. I think he was Brighton-based. When I get home tonight I'll check whether I still have his details (unlikely!). A query to Brian Harvey's 'Grand Prix Models' might come up with something.

I doubt Solido spares are available. The spares market seems to be confined to Dinkies, Yesteryears, Corgis and Spot On. Maybe your best bet is to look for a 'playworn' one and cannibalise. Or scratch build from a pop bottle or moulded transparent packaging

Re original question. The two I would recommend are Grand Prix Models (+1 D-Type), and Paul at Little-Cars who may have a source.

Could try BTS MOULDINGS? They normally have a stall at Kempton Park and Maidstone toy fairs. They do a lot of spares including BBR wheels which may be what you are looking for.
