Meanwhile, how about Engineers in a Simulator - talk about having to put your money where your mouth is. Are there more of these for other engineers out there? I couldn't find any in a brief YouTube search...

"Yeah, eject seat." *whoosh*
I have to say Sebastian would probably be the worst engineer possible for someone like say a Kimi. He would just go on talking and talking and talking...

Cheating slightly - aiming to be at the back of the 2012 grid is a little easier than the 2013 grid since they had HRT cars back then...

Interesting video. When I play the most realistic sims on rFactor - the historic 1991 mod or the 1979 I usually am about 10 seconds of the pace. Now I am not so ashamed any more...
(BTW: A friend of mine used to work at Mercedes GP and was allowed in the simulator now and then. He is a better gamer than me but he said he could not hold it on the road).

I also think the rp simulator got the best graphics of the simulators I seen, but none of them are as good as the F1 2012 graphics.... why don't they all just tell codemaster to make the graphics for their sim

I thought the third sector and the missing the apex thing kinda funny....

My guess is computing power is used more on making the car as realistic as possible and anything else comes second such as the look of the track, as long as the undulations are right as is the surface I'm sure they don't care

Interesting, what specifically was he struggling with in regarding to the characteristics of the car?

Going on the throttle. Braking was okay, but apex to exit in slow corners he found it almost impossible to keep it on the road. 'At the first chicane at Monza, after the first chicane, I tried to crawl through. And still spun on the exit.'
