OTTOMH, I can't think of any 4 wides, 3 wide, yeah...several, but 4?...nope.

Closest to NASCAR 4 wide that I can remember:



Like 3 and half wide.

Agreed totally. It really take no skill to race that close in these cars at that big of a track.


Really? Let's not debate this, as it is meaningless to do so. That's like saying running at 100% at Monaco requires no skill.

Plus, this is what racing is about. Yeah, you didn't even have a chance to win if not for the draft and some luck, but that's the sport. It's like having a shootout in hockey or football. The draft equalises the playing field and makes it so anyone can win. But it takes those little extra bits of luck to do so.

Why is "anyone can win" and "it takes luck to win" a good thing? The point of sporting events is to have the most deserving participant take the trophy, with only enough uncertainty in the result to keep it from being too predictable.
