Confirmed this morning. They lose the Italian angle, but both Redbull teams will now be powered by the same lump...

But having two teams worth of data about an engine at a time when they are new unknowns, is unfair.

Christian Horner should complain about this and threaten to lodge a protest.

The whole Toro Rosso team has become a farce. Every team you see a Red Bull behind one of the Toro Rosso's, they never put up a fight. It's like Red Bull is competing against 18 other cars, whilst the rest is against 20 and Red Bull gets helped by two other cars when rivals are behind them. Though Sauber and Ferrari have the same link, they are not so extreme in that.

well nobody is stopping ferrari from buying sauber or any team, you blame redbull for being able to run two teams extremely competitive . if ferrari or any big name owned two teams they would be stupid if they don't make the two teams cooperate on and off track

Because things where so equal before the engine freeze, or even after it? having technical information on the most complex part of the car is handy stuff.
The blown diffuser farce would of been over much sooner if Ferrari had a B team to test Renault engines for them.

You have to assume Mercedes will be pushing Force India for data and likewise Ferrari and Sauber. In some regards Red Bull and Toro Rosso are trailing their rivals in this area until now by having both their teams use different engines, gearboxes and rear suspension despite their ownership.
