Ferrari is a best car this year, and was last year in bunch of races. They should lead the both championships, but they don't. They have more straight line speed than RB, they seems to have more torque when it matters, but Alonso is a weak qualifier, and now he is paying price. (Just my opinion).Greater than what and in what way unexplored?
Is FA in Decline?

Ferrari is a best car this year,
I've already called you out on this. Best car has varied from track to track, depends on weather, track temperature, one lap pace vs race pace etc. It's not as simple as saying X is the best car. All we've seen is that Ferrari is the best car in terms of race pace in the dry on a heavily front limited track.
and was last year in bunch of races.
Monza and perhaps Canada. That was about it.

They choose to setup their car with more straight line speed. Red Bull could do the same if they wanted (see Abu Dhabi last year), but they don't.
Alonso is not a weak qualifier by any stretch of the imagination. Fair enough if you think Vettel or Hamilton are stronger than him in this respect, but given the way Alonso has trounced Massa in qualifying in the last 3 and a bit years, it indicates at the very least that he is not a weak qualifier.

Have you consider possibility that both Ferrari drivers are underperforming relative to car potential? Just because it is Alonso, there is no guarantee that he is getting most out of the car. I watched Schumacher for over a decade to drive that red thingy, and have developed some sense how that car could be driven. Unfortunately Alonso is not making the grade for me, despite all that noise and advertising hype around him.Alonso is not a weak qualifier by any stretch of the imagination. Wait, because you watched Schumacher drive the red car in a totally different era, you are now suddenly convinced that you know how to drive the car better than Alonso does? Classic armchair expert!Have you consider possibility that both Ferrari drivers are underperforming relative to car potential? Alonso has dominated his teammate over the past 3-4 years like no one else, the gap between Alonso and Massa has almost always been bigger than Vettel vs Webber. There's absolutely no evidence whatsoever that the Ferrari car is capable of delivering more than Alonso has shown, other than an everyday forum members guesswork.

PS: even if I often disagree with you! ;-)

Okay. I suppose you follow F1 at least as much as me, and if that's what you make of it I don't know how to help it. Carry on!

I luv everyone comes up with DRS....
People! To use the DRS you have to be agressive to get within one second. Webber sucked to make the pass on Nico for millions of laps. Vettel was drinking coffee in his car in China while cruising behing Hulkendberg and complaianing on the radio about it. Kimi could hardly overtake anyone this year: lapping for many laps behind Vettel in Spain, behind Lewis in China, etc.
Alonso clearly stands out by using the best of the material available. I can't see how can't people concede Alonso has been the best since 2010. I love him to win this year's championship, but I said to lots of people afetr Sunday: as far as Alonso puts on so incredible shows on Sundays which nobody is able to do, I am massively delighted. He makes our day! Pure talent! Love his commitment and race craft!
Yes, and this has nothing to do with how effective the car's DRS is or top speed vs other cars... or the fact he starts behind cars that are slower than his on sundays....
