They're being sold during the race weekend for the first time. Apparently it's a local thing? It's also my pet name for the Indycar thread regulars.
*** IMPORTANT SCHEDULE ANNOUNCEMENT ***
SATURDAY...SATURDAY...SATURDAY
Don't screw this up folks, this is a Saturday afternoon race. But it's later than last year.
TV Time: 4pm Eastern, NBC Sports (9pm UK?)
Verde Verde Verde : 4:40est (so, 9:40? Carol?)
This week in paint©
Helio, with a car that totally passes post-race inspection
Last year Dario's car finished the race in a diaper so the team is activating a bit of brand synergy
Pshaw, what about the Rickshaw?
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF RICKSHAW RACING CHAMPIONSHIP
SATURDAY, JUNE 15
START TIME: 12:00 PM
END TIME: 12:30 PM
If you love racing, you can not miss the inaugural event of the World Championships of Rickshaw racing, hosted at the historic Milwaukee Mile. Friday will feature two qualifying races and the championship race will take place on Saturday just prior to the Milwaukee IndyFest IndyCar race. This event will feature some of the best and brightest stars in this upcoming sport.
The "if you love racing" bit is a bold claim. They had some pre event testing and did a lap of a 1 mile track in 4+ minutes. So yes, slower than a competitive man could run the circuit.
Perhaps they've been indulging the cream puffs a little too much. So I suggested some development tweaks.

Will it be America's pride and joy, New York's own, Bumble Bee Man?
Is it Mumbai superstar (seen in a recent training photo), Raj the Rocket?
I need info!

I like Milwaukee. Should be a decent race weekend. Indy Lights are back after a month off since Indy and add to the show. Expect the usual runners to be up front, and that includes 2008 winner Ryan Briscoe back in the U.S. National Guard Panther Racing car he ran in Belle Isle.
And they run real wings. Running the IMS rear wing is what compounded a terrible tire at Texas, so a return to normal is good for the series. If only we'd have a new broadcasting group though. It's good for the race to be on ABC/ESPN, but when the non-fan stumbles upon the race, they'll switch back to whatever else is on television at that time on a Saturday.

It's on NBCsports with Leigh Diffey and David Hobbs and I guess Townsend Bell?
Well then, those non-fans won't stumble upon the race then?
Odd grouping, but I like it. The over enthusiastic Aussie, the quiet ex-pat Brit, and Townsend Bell. Come to think of it, that's why Will Buxton was tweeting from Road American the other day. Why else would an Englishmen come to Wisconsin?

Photo illustrates Jim Hickman's last ride into the turn one wall in the final minutes of practice before the August 1982 Milwaukee round. I'd shared a Coke and sandwich with Jim and a couple of fellow CART workers shortly before the session.

What, in the rickshaw race? That's more racist than black tires being slower.
Nah, in the Milwaukee race. I ignored all of the non Indy jibba-jabba you fools were talking about.

Typical Wikipedia. Not errors of commission, but errors of omission. Also, over-reliance on wire accounts with their superlatives of poor taste/accuracy ("pry"). Very little on Hickman, who also raced IMSA.Maybe

Tough start to the year for CART/Indy
Not as bad as 1959 for USAC. They lost 4 drivers in the first four events (two in practice for Indianapolis), and a fifth in a record run in a converted Indy Car. Go back to Fall of 1958 and they lost another regular in a race.

There's a reason the page has a box at the top that says "This article relies largely or entirely upon a single source. Relevant discussion may be found on the talk page. Please help improve this article by introducing citations to additional sources. (August 2010)"
Why not use your knowledge to improve the article instead of complaining about it? That's the point of wikipedia.

Will do, but Wikipedia is low on my priority vs. other matters. And, this one isn't severely compelling compared to some of the downright libelous and folkloric entries.
The complaint is a valid generalization about Wikipedia. There are some outstanding, excellent entries there, and others...well, not so much

Planning a day trip to the city of dreaming squires tomorrow but am aiming to be back for the green.
Do we fancy Andretti for this one? I'm beginning to think he's the championship favourite so he needs a good result to keep Castroneves in sight. And he always goes well in Iowa.

I tend to imagine Andretti doing quite well on short ovals but I think it comes from his recent good results in Iowa. It would be nice to see him putting up a real championship challenge though.
