Vettel is trully impressive :eek:
And probably the best and most consistent in the current field. Give credit where it's due.

Vettel is definitely impressive. But he also had the car to do it. That cannot be denied. From midway 2009 till now he had either the outright quickest, joint quickest of the 2nd quickest car. A driver of his caliber could do - and did - a lot with it. Look at the stats Alonso achieved in 2005 and 2006 (joint quickest if we take both seasons' average). They were no less impressive.

Are either of them actually the outright holders of any of those records apart from the ones about being youngest? (Oh and Vettel's quirky ones about being championship leader for most races in a season and fewest races, which aren't really "records" worth noting).

Not sure what it's meant to tell us really - they're at completely different stages of their careers.

I think Alonso's win from furthest back on the grid probably needs a caveat added...
