It was everybody's thread until it was hijacked by PS30-SB, he might have a degree in trivia but it is wearing. and no I won't be forced into leaving a subject by bullying from the greater Asia co prosperity sphereThere isn't, because it's not needed. All you need to do is refrain from looking at ( and posting in ) this particular thread. Don't like the subject? Don't click on the thread. Unsubscribe.
Common sense, really. Hope that helps.

I'm just off to watch some paint dry for a few hours, or until I lapse into a coma. No, don't worry, I'll be all right
Looks like you have a big job on, mind if I come and give you a hand

Might I suggest there might not have been nearly so many of those lengthy posts by our friend so learned in Japanese cars had he not been continually told that the various Japanese cars weren't worth having, nor if his many posts about specific models hadn't been ignored, nor had he not repeatedly been told his posts were of no interest?
Throughout this he has defended his position continually against a barrage of criticism and it's very obvious that he doesn't give up easily and that he can give as good as he gets.
So why not work with him and learn something rather than berate him (and that comment isn't necessarily directed at you, kayemod)?
I find two flaws in his posts... he puts a space inside each end of his brackets... [so: ( this is how he does it )] rather than how it should be done [like this: (keeping the first and last letters of the bracketed subject unspaced from the opening and closing brackets)]; and he goes a bit too far with his personal denunciation, tending to get close to denigrating some.
He puts a lot of time and effort into posting on his favoured subject, something that he's obviously studied closely... aren't we all hear to learn from others?

During the late 1970's I had a Mk1 Cortina GT to which I had fitted a Cosworth A3 camshaft, twin 42DCOE webers, and a limited slip diff. This car took me everywhere and was a much loved and enjoyed car then one day a close friend brought a Datsun 1600 and let me drive it from across the Southern Alps of NZ from Greymouth to Christchurch. The Cortina was never the same after that.

I'm afraid this thread has dug itself a rut.
With that in mind I'm going to close it - it's gone too far off-course - so let's all take a 'breather' on this topic.
