None of it matters. As has been pointed out there ain't no Concorde. So you're all arguing about an article which is talking about history.

We can all guess the type of outcomes, but unless your name is Stefano, Martin, C.Horner, then none of you / us know the new deals. It would only be guess work. If you do claim to know, then good luck with the lawyers because for sure there are some confidentiality clauses that you will have broken.

Ecclestone and Todt shortly before unification?
The new Concorde Agreement in Formula 1 is a long birth. But apparently could FIA president Jean Todt and F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone on the edge of the GP of Hungary clarify important issues. Is the deal will soon be in the bag?

Summit in the paddock at the Hungaroring. On Saturday (07/27/2013) to F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone promoter and FIA president Jean Todt agreed on the outline of a new Concorde Agreement. Media effect, an agreement was signed which provides the framework for the introduction of the new Formula 1 agreement.

More detailed information about the contents of this preliminary agreement did not want to publish both parties. Only if it is approved by all instances of the two parties, there should be more details. One of the points of contention was the last example of the accreditation process for journalists and photographers that Ecclestone would like to have brought under his control.

New Concorde Agreement in the near future?
While Jean Todt pushing for a quick agreement to provide much-needed revenue from the FIA Formula 1, Bernie Ecclestone seemed to prefer to play on last time. Some experts expect that the long-time F1 supremo after the completed deal could be forced out of his position. In particular, the threat of criminal bribery in Munich is problematic for many business partners of the racing series.

Despite the preliminary agreement and insurance Ecclestone that a signature is imminent practically just below the new Concorde Agreement should therefore break out any premature euphoria. As for what negotiations Ecclestone has earned a reputation as a shrewd tactician and poker players in the past.

Looking at these figures, I find it disgusting that most of the teams are struggling to survive. Bernie and co are greedy as they come.

Quite. The teams aren't just competing with each other for sponsorship, they're competing with FOM as well. I'm surprised more of them haven't gone done already since i agree with Sylt that the argument for sponsoring the sport rather than a single team is very compelling.

Disagree. As Talisman says, there's a big question of sponsors going to FOM or teams. Thats not something historical.

@ross stonefeld: I see what you are saying about the income of F1 including TV money, race money, licensing and sponsorship. BUT markeimas27 said that the FUND is made up of FOM sponsorship and licensing arrangements. TV and race money is not mentioned...
