They won't want to waste fuel through unnecessary drag on the straights so, if anything, I reckon the incentive to develop passive DRS will increase.Considering fuel management and engine efficiency will be of paramount importance from 2014, how eager will teams be to develop effective passive DRS systems?

I'm not convinced it really makes much difference to fuel efficiency does it?

Back in the days of Group C sportscar racing, there was also IMSA in America which used very similar (sometimes identical cars). For the IMSA races cars would run with huge rear wings as fuel wasn't an issue, there were no limits, with Group C however even when racing at circuits that demanded high downforce levels, the teams would always trim the rear wing to reduce drag and aid fuel consumption.I'm not convinced it really makes much difference to fuel efficiency does it?
