Which is the best looking F1 circuit build since 1999?

I think it's Sepang. The environment looks beautiful and the facilities modern. It also has gravel runoffs instead of hectares of tarmac.
Singapore with lights looks also great but the city would look better in daylight, you don't see it so well at night. And of course, Abu Dhabi look fabulous but already too posh.

+1On purely aesthetic grounds, I would say Singapore, for the sheer novelty of an artificially-light night race.

It's kinda like Laguna Seca on steroids.
How very American!

Of the new tracks, it's the best setting for F1 IMO.

Sepang and Istanbul park, though reasonably good tracks in themselves, don't really do anything for me at all visually. Almost featureless.

Surprised by so many votes for Singapore.
For me the scene of Singapore streets is nothing but this familiar, hot, humid and busy Asian urban, .... so hot and sticky! just had enough.
in terms of pure looking, it's either Sepang or Abu Dhabi, but for completely different reasons.
Maybe i go for Sepang, it's well built and actually beautiful.

Circuits look best when they involve trees. All of the above lack trees.
Maybe on TV. For viewing at a track I hate trees.

At a high enough density to count as wood/forest?
No, perhaps a spinny

COTA desperately needs trees. Not for aesthetic reasons (though it would certainly help), but for shade in the May and September races. It was nothing short of brutal out there during the V8 Supercars weekend, and I expect similar temps during WEC/ALMS.Circuits look best when they involve trees. All of the above lack trees.

This.Sepang get my vote because it still have some classic circuit character like gravel runoff, trees.

yea but it's about looking, not about track layout and quality of racingIstanbul Park. Races were always nice, plenty of overtaking spots. And of course it has the famous turn 8.

Doesn't track layout count as how good a track looks?yea but it's about looking, not about track layout and quality of racing
Well if this thread is only about scenery, my vote goes to Sepang.

Abu dhabi for me, Singapore close second, for very similar reasons, but I prefer the smooth surface and almost glossy curbs of the Yas Marina.
Yeah, the architecture is mid-eastern (which has always been really good) and that hotel(?) with the changing color canopy is pretty cool as well.

1.sepang (it's a proper car/driver/tire killer, and i love it)
2. bahrain (yeah, surprised to see no mention, considering it is the best 'desert circuit')
4. china (layout good, specially winding ying-yang first sector, hate the last left hand kink, should be curved)
3. istanbul (not for T8, it's way overhyped, u can't overtake there, and the cars are on rails these days, but the circuit has a flow to it)
i'm also surprised to see so many mentions of singapore .... it has so many zigzag 90 deg corners that makes me wanna puke
regarding austin, there needs to be more racing before i'll start appreciating it, ATM it and india looks same as well as korea.

Because it's less about the track itself and the backdrop. The New Jersey circuit doesn't look very good, but if you can see Manhattan in the background, it could more than make up for a crap track.
The question was best looking circuit. Sepang isn't that appealing to look at. Too much humidity usually to keep the view into the forest limited, and you cannot see anything beyond the Chinese rounds. Aby Dhabi built around the circuit taking away the emptiness of the desert. Yeongam could have a very good backdrop, but the street circuit like set up of the race circuit takes away most of the views to the hills beyond the circuit.

Hey I have got a problem with Singapore. I tried out a racing sim, but I always forgot, which corner it is in Singapore and misjudged braking. The walls are all grey, corners the same, in the dark it is very hard to get the feeling for the particular place of the track. I don't blame Schumacher for crashing into people at Singapore, maybe he got lost on the circuit too.
I always have that problem. Drop me onto a random corner at Monza or Monaco and I could tell you where it was; do the same with Singapore and it's just an illuminated bit of street with a corner.
