Dunlop curve is pretty brutal too.

Turn 8 at istanbul, high gs for 5 seconds

Too low a downforce track for it to be up there.

As mentioned before Monza will never be up there with the others suggested...the second Lesmo is the highest lateral G at Monza with 3.8 which is low compared with most other circuits these days! Copse and Blanchimont are about 5g and 130R a bit higher than that!

Yeah, I was thinking that, downforce does play a part in the braking, but I would say the deceleration might make up for it. Monza has the highest top speed on the calender and its quite a slow corner. Quite a big stop I'd say, I don't know the figures but they must be doing at least 210 mph before hitting the brakes.

According to Brembo's website, because of the low downforce it isn't even in the top 7 highest G braking areas in F1 they vary between 5.76 up to 6.08 G at Shanghai. Despite being the joint second highest deceleration of 250km/h (Abu Dhabi being the highest), but the lack of downforce means that the braking zone into the 1st chicane at Monza is 148m long compared to 129m at Abu Dhabi even though the amount of deceleration is virtually identical!

It's simple - the deceleration is grip limited. Less downforce -> less grip -> less braking force that can be applied before locking up the wheels -> smaller deceleration (G forces if you like).
