sure, but that implies he was also pretty much equal to alonso and hamilton as well.
and dont tell it was that way because the ferrari was lightyears ahead, that is simply not true.
even with the shitty f60 he did the job that you expect a top driver to do with a rather mediocre car.
he impressed more in the first half of 09 than he did in the last 4years.
the problem is that you lower your "estimation" for stupid reasons.
sounds like you based your opinion at what happened in 07-09 and how it compares to what is happening now.
massa is badly beaten by alonso, therefor kimi will perform on a similar level.
maybe you should adjust your performance rating for the current massa, before estimating kimis speed/talent/whatever.
driver performances are not a constant, they change, they are subject to a hell of a lot of factors outside of the drivers control.
looking objectively at this, it becomes undeniable that it is massa who lost speed, while the other 3 drivers that he was (almost) matching earlier in his career continued to win races, and that across 4 different teams.
massa faded away, he wasnt always that bad.
he once was considered a top driver almost by everyone ffs.
What, how on earth does it imply he's equal with Lewis and Alonso? I have no idea where you pulled that from.
And no, I don't think my reasons for lessening my opinion of Kimi's ability is stupid. It was not a single, one-off season. He was let go from Ferrari for a reason.
Anyways, I've gone over this a million times. I don't feel like defending my opinions against people who don't like to hear it anymore. I feel that a lot of Kimi fans live in denial, but whatever.

And there is a reason why he got hired back. 'nuff said.

Kimi's inability to stand up for himself when Lotus introduced the LWB car does not bode well. He needs to ensure that his needs are met, not accept what he's given.
I dont think there's anything to fear on that front, he did get the SWB car back, and we don't know when he "demanded" it or indeed whether he had to, we do know that he wasn't happy with the steering for instance, and did let the team know his feelings,

Suprice! but Mika Häkkinen thinks that Kimi will match Alonso, because of new turbo engines should be good for Kimis driving style.

I have read this article before and not only he thinks that Kimi will match, also he believes Kimi will have the upper hand at Ferrari due to his driving style.
I am not sure how true it is since it is really unpredictable what this new era will demand from drivers in terms of their driving preferences.

I could be wrong but I don't see anything great coming from it. Especially not with Alonso there.
Kimi is a little bit like the modern day Keke Rosberg:
They both won only 1 championship due to the misfortunes of others.
There careers were kind of 'meh' after winning said championships and there speed disappeared a little.
They are both Finns.
They both had slight double chins.
The only real difference I see between them is that Keke was actually cool wheras Kimi only pretends he is.

I cannot say anything for others if you really believe in what you wrote, but this part is ....

I wouldn´t say stupid, I´d say hugely biased.
I can name similar underperforming periods for Fernando and Lewis, and in Lewis´ case more recent than Kimi´s bogie period. Yet your view of them doesn´t drop to the same degree under the same circumstances.
So stupid or not, and that´s up to eveyone to judge individually, there´s something your reasons for playing him down are: biased, and not fair and consistent.
But nothing surprising to be honest. So little surprising that I know exactly what comes next from you: the "I´m actually a Kimi fan, but..." card.

Last time around Kimi won the WDC with the 10th or 12th fastest car, so it should be easy to repeat.
On a serious note Ferrari will probably make a car that suits their oldish pilots (smooth out the Qualifying gap and enhance the already excellent Race capabilities and keep up the top notch reliability), so this time around they have all the ingredients again for Driver and Constructor championships.

Kimi's number one enemy seems to be understeer and it is speculated that if anything, these new cars will have lots of oversteer which would not be a problem for Kimi. In 2009 Kimi showed that he can do extemely well even in a bad car as long as he can find a good setup window to work with.

A lot of the people who like throwing the word 'biased' around in this forum don't seem to understand what the word means or they use it in the wrong context.
