You guys must have future eye seeing. Kyle did win the race but he actually had a good scrap with Brad.

Good race,
Schrubmacher and Keselonso racin' side-by-side / hand-in-hand for more than 50 laps.
The Bushonator made a different trajectory in the last tean laps, denying Chaselesslowski to get a tow in his stream.
Blaney tried to help his master Kessen, but couldn't do it right.
The Schrub minions are useless. Joey Colter and Bubba Wallace didn't show up to help the master.

I didn't watch the whole race.......hell I watched the last 5 laps so I didn't get to hear everything Michael Waltrip had to say. After the race he was saying "apparently for the first time in NASCAR history you are not allowed to pit when you want to" What???? No Michael you can't pit for no reason other than to change the results of the Championship.
Bowyers attitude this week and hearing Waltrip have made me lose what little respect I had for that team.

So which Cup driver will the NNS race? When will Pastrana and Dufault spin out?

For one fleeting moment I thought the lady holding the helmet had some Milena Velba-sized airbags on her.

We Nationwide now
God it must suck so much to be the Over-the-Wall reporter. Just trying to focus on not ****ing up pit stops and having Marty Reid bugging you before the race. I would just try to swear as much as possible so ESPN never asked me again.

Evening!
I have my usual bunch of stupid questions of the weekend. If somebody answers: thanks a lot
a) the commentator was talking about McLure (I hope I spelled it right, or at least that I was close to the real one) is back after a severe kidney failure. If I remember correctly, this is the guy who suffered a very nasty accident not so long ago. Was the kidney failure related to the accident or was it just something that happened?
b) they showed part of a press-conference before the race giving new rules after the "chase-fixing" scandal of last week. The guy talking (don't know who he is) said crashing on purpose on another racer is not allowed any longer. Did he mean if you do it to help your results or somebody else's? Or did he mean it is not allowed any longer? I'm thinking about all that retaliation examples

a) Eric McLure's crash at Talladega was last season so I would be very surprised if it had anything to do with his illness. God damn massive hit that was, I'd forgotten how bad it looked at the time.
b) Time will tell I think, whether NASCAR is going to seriously police this or even enforce it at all. My gut feeling is this is just them wanting to be seen to be doing something, I doubt that four races from now someone is going to get a fine for spinning another guy or retaliating to something (he may get a fine seperate from the incident itself, as NASCAR tends to do to people who go over the top and start fighting in the pits).

Wait, what?! McLure's accident was last year???? Erm, I think I need loooong holidays, I had not noticed so much time had passed by yes, it was horrible to watch, it really got burnt into my memory.
Thanks a lot, Andrew

No problem, memories of NASCAR races tend to bleed into each other after a while. A few days ago I realized Edwards' flip at Talladega was 2009 not 2011, which I had been sure it was for some reason.
103 laps to go in the Nationwide race now. I've found my rope, now I just need a bucket..

The way the commentators were talking about that during the NW race today I was expecting him to actually be an inch from getting run over. He wasn't that close to falling out, really.

what rain?
Posted 15 September 2013 - 17:46
So....... let me get this straight, there is a rule that mandates drivers to race 100%.
How will they explain start and parkers? Brain damage?

No idea. But what an embarrassment for NASCAR. Can't believe they allowed it to rain!
Why can't those idiots at Goodyear develop a tire where the inside 3/8ths of an inch is a wet weather tread? I mean for God's sakes, F1 races in the rain. I hate American racing so much. Look at all these ****ing commercials!

Is it going to go anytime soon, or are we looking at a night race at best?
Posted 15 September 2013 - 19:14
They should just forfeit the race and award the win to Kyle Busch.
I mean, there's a very good chance America gets FREE m&m's when all is said and done.
Do we as a Nation want to risk that?
Posted 15 September 2013 - 19:14
been drying the track for nearly an hour now at least.. cars are on pit road I believe.

Hopefully he means you can't intentionally wreck people, thereby bringing NASCAR into line with every other form of motorsport above the level of fairground dodgem-rides and two-bob banger races.
