Luis,
This come from Willem Oosthoek:

I never did much research on the SCCA Divisionals after 1963. Even the 1964 SCCA booklet Sports Car Racing Annual does not address them, focusing instead on the USRRC and the Nationals. It does contain a listing of all SCCA sanctioned events during 1964 and the number for the Divisionals adds up to 51 for the year. Not split-out by Division, though. Since you have 48 already, it seems there are still three more to find.

Often misspelled, but it is Seguin, Texas, not Sequin.

The "Divisionals" were raced from 1961 to 1964, as for 1965 they were replaced by the new "Nationals". Is this correct?

Yes, SCCA Divisionals ran from 1961 till 1964. The numbers across the U.S.:

1961: 29
1962: 39
1963: 44
1964: 51

Although Divisionals were theoretically ranked higher than Regionals in the SCCA world, in practice they did not necessarily attract better fields.

Would anyone have any entry list for the Vineland races from 64 and 65?

Specifically I am looking for Sunbeam Alpine entries (FP).

I don't think there were that many Sunbeam entries, a couple at best, but if I could get the car # and the driver that would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Steve

Do you have William Kneeland, third in FP, 1964, according to this?

Vince,  Thanks for the reply.   I hadn't seen that link posting on Vineland.    Unfortunately, it isn't Bill Kneeland.  The car I have, in the notes which I found with car, states the following:

#5 Vineland divisionals (note, no date given but the next entry was from 9/1/64)

The driver goes on to state:

Results 4th,

- rear wheel hop

-flattens out at 6200 in third, -5600 in 4th

Distrib?  Carb?

-Broken Spokes

-Pressures 40F 37R

-Adjust valves

-Water temp 230, Over-advanced?

-balance carbs.

Ironically, in this notebook there are names mentioned in context which sound more like the "support crew".  However, nothing definitive on the driver for the races.   On the very last page in the note book somebody is working out a finance schedule so the driver may have been a dealer or salesman.   If I had to guess would guess Len Amato since the car was found in the NY/CTarea.  (there's other evidence of Len being the owner but not conclusive regarding the driver)

I have been looking for years regarding Vineland since that is the one race where I have the finish position and the car number - but no luck yet.

According to this page:

http://www.barcboys....and 1965pg1.htm (and I haven't made a spelling error, that is how the URL is shown on the page!)

Al Costner from NY region finished 6th in F Production in an Alpine in the June 65 race at Vineland, while Buzz Marcus from Philadelphia also in an Alpine, was a DNF. Costner also competed in the June Vineland race:

There is a pic of Costner in the June race here:

Links to other photos and documents for Vineland in that period here:

I have to say that the BARC Boys website is one of my favourites, with some great quality colour shots from races all over the US...thoroughly recommended!

Hope this helps!
