Lads, can I point you in the direction (if that's OK with Twinny) of my new website for my photographic and film archive.

It's the first time my collection has had any web presence. It's primarily for the 'trade', i.e. authors, writers and TV programme / video producers, but there's a couple of slideshows and four small film clip montages that you may enjoy anyway.

Find it here ;  www.superchargedcollection.com

 all the best.

Lovely photographs Gary   I believe 5 RU was the first 250 GTO I ever had the opportunity to gawp at, it was parked one sunny Wednesday afternoon in the car park of The Mariners on the A287 which happened to be right opposite our school. A school friend and I sat on the wall in the car park for 1/2 an hour or so taking in every curve. Happy days

Lovely.  I like the Ards TT film as I was born and bred in the Newtownards area so I know the history of motorsport here very well. I currently live just a few miles from Kirkistown.

Yummy!  I've bookmarked the page after a brief perusal, Gary, and will be back for a closer look soon.

Congratulations!

Compilation 3 of your film clips claims to have film of the "British Grand Prix of 1938 ".

If that were to be the case it would be extremely rare footage, as there was no such race......

Actually the Donington film which makes up the second part of the compilation is an amalgam of the 1938 British Empire Trophy (in b&w then colour) followed by the 1938 Donington Grand Prix (colour).

Thanks for that, Charles!
