Hello,

I'm currently looking into expanding my library with some modern/contemporary books about sports car and prototype racing.

My collection is very biased towards vintage eras, and I'm already good with encyclopedias and reference books so I'm now looking more for excellent photograpyh based books.

Any suggestions apart from the Le Mans Yearbooks?

In Germany you have the Sportwagen Story which is the only yearbook afaik covering the WEC and ADAC GT Masters race by race and also the most important GT and sportscar championships like ALMS, Grand-Am, FIA GT, BES etc. see here: www.adrenalin-verlag.com

The were some ALMS and Grand-Am yearbooks a few years ago but they are hard to find.

I have been a subscriber of the Le Mans yearbook for over 30 years. While it remains the bible, I do not think it is as good as it once was. Data that was typically included in the past is no longer provided. Technically oriented photos are almost non existent as things become even more paranoid. There seem to be fewer photos of the cars and they are often smaller. We used to get more photos of the cars and their liveries and even info on the team sponsors. The authors seem to be doing their best, but there appear to be other influences to the content.

Just my observation.

Cheers

That's a pity, I was looking for great pictures, not only in size but in theme, such as technical one's. But what you mention about increasing paranoia does make sense to explain this trend. I'll continue my search and share any nugget I  might find.

Sorry, should be more specific, 2000 onwards I would say. Thanks for the suggestions, some of those I already checked out, the others I'm going to :-)
