Some friends are trying to identify the location of this building where, it seems, a speed event is about to take place.  It looks as though the building is permanently painted with the Dunlop sign.  There are a couple of 1950s Lotuses in the foreground just out of sight but otherwise there seems to be quite an eclectic mix of cars.  I am guessing that it's somewhere in the UK but am open to other suggestions.

Picture hosted on Flickr and came from the late Ted Martin's collection (of Martin V8 fame).

Any ideas?

First thought is that it's the SIlvertstone Paddock in the 1950s, with the old Gents on the extreme right - but am quite ready to be told I'm way off course!  Letterbox format is quite unusual, so maybe taken with a landscapecamera, or else heavily cropped.

Thanks, Tony.  The original landscape photo is going to appear in HLR's quarterly magazine Historic Lotus in due course and I was asked to crop it before posting.  It cannot be earlier than 1956 as there is a Lotus Eleven with a Mk Nine (7 DPU) in the foreground of original photo.
