If Rosset was a world champion, then Pedro Diniz was the next Juan Manuel Fangio.

They did didn't they in Wizard of Oz? Very scary too. Not as scary as the apparent genuine belief that Rosset would beat Schumacher. A decent car may've possibly led to a so-so midfield F1 career but that's it.
It's like saying Giovanni Lavaggi (bless him) was an exciting up & coming driver with long-term potential for Formula 1 ;)

ROSSET RULES!
I hope you have fun here powerslider and I wish you all the best. Just keep in mind this is supposed to be the best F1 bulletin board on the web. If you want to make jokes or ridiculous statments you might consider doing everyone a favour and posting them elsewhere.

In F3000 he was very good at the start in 1995 and looked like a possible world champion. However, his team-mate Sospiri soon outshone him.
In F1 he just wasn't good enough to perform successfully.
And for a seat at McLaren of Ferrari, you have to earn it through your own talent, achievement and ability - and be able to drive brilliantly and successfully. Just ask MS ;)

You're using the wrong yardstick. I'd have granted you that he was better than Jacques Villeneuve.

But Rosset is not better than Jax or Alesi, and certainly not better than MS

I think you just have everyone confused. They don't realise that you mean he was better than Mika Salo.

Todd : I think he ment that rosset was faster than both MS and JV AFTER they took each other out of the race. Even so, it's a close call.

He'll get bored and just disappear....most of them do!
Interesting that your 15 years old and yet your claiming benefits too!

Rosset just won 3 races & together with Diniz they had 8 podiums for Minardi team, beating the crap out of John Newhouse & the others ! Best of all he also paid for the Mugen engine.

I became WTC with Stewart for three times in a row with DC and TAKAGI (powered by Ferrari)...I was missing PDLR very much in that game.

90% of the race qual reports start with "unfortunately, Rosset failed to meet the 107% rule.....".
How can I guy who did so well in F3000 do so poorly in F1? This isn't a slag - I truly don't know.
