Here's how Fernando did over the weekend:

1. He completed 71 practice laps. (guess range: 42 to 87 laps, average 67.26)
2. He finished 7th in qualifying (guess range: 3rd to 7th, average 4.95)
3. His gap to pole was 2.0 seconds (1:27.140 vs 1:25.232) (guess range: 0.8 s to 1.6 s, average 1.15 s)
4. He finished 6th in the race (guess range: 2nd to 6th position, average 4.21)
5. His fastest lap was 1.0 seconds slower than the best (1:29.898 vs 1:28.918) (guess range: 0.5 s to 1.6 s, average 1.01 s)
6. He entered the pit lane 3 times (guess range: 2 to 4, average 2.68)

So, I guess he did a little bit worse than we expected, although the big gap qualifying mostly came from the overachievers at Mercedes.

 

Now with my new automated points deduction system I guess I have to reveal them as they become available with the results.

As you can see, the deductions have mostly gone up, but that was to be expected with a reliable performer like Alonso.
