Genuine error, but a blessing in disguise imo.

Everyone knows it wasn't deliberate, but few trolls will keep this thread going
Posted 24 May 2014 - 13:04
Probably not, but it kinda looked like the Schumi moment.

Simple answer, no. Thread closed.

I put my head in my hand because I was imagining all the stupid comments there will be. No he didn't park it, but he was kinda lucky.

Yes. From the replay it seems clear he had the option to keep going. He deserves a penalty.
Posted 24 May 2014 - 13:06
Yes. Looking at his celebration
Mind games maybe? Rosberg trolling Hamilton
Posted 24 May 2014 - 13:07
It was a genuine error by Rosberg but his celebrations ...We can surely say now that Hamilton's recent words have had an impact.
Posted 24 May 2014 - 13:07
No, he went for the run off.

Posted 24 May 2014 - 13:07
It didn't appear so.. but people see what they want to see.

If you make mistake approaching that corner.. do you go straight or do you try to turn and risk damaging your car (and cause yellow flags that way)
edit:
After seeing replays there's no case for those "deliberate" claims.

How was that story a few days ago about how much he learned from Schumi? He must have heard how they should do the talking on the track, haha
Posted 24 May 2014 - 13:09
Yes he did. Nice needs all his aces to beat Lewis.
Lewis: "it was ironic"
Lewis:

If he wanted to "guarantee" it wouldn't he have "parked" it into the barrier?

Look again. And try looking at the steering wheel.
Posted 24 May 2014 - 13:10
Parked it or not, he was SO FAR out of the track that the yellow flag didn't make any sense.
Posted 24 May 2014 - 13:10
Yes and I would have too. Win at all cost.
Posted 24 May 2014 - 13:11
I say a fact. He approached that corner from the right. Unthinkable. He deserves to be disqualified from qualifying and start from the pit lane
They all do that, there's a nasty bump on the left part of the run down to Mirabeau.

This.

Too bad that trick had been played before and didn't end well. He would have been stupid to do so
Posted 24 May 2014 - 13:11
Pretty obvious it was deliberately. Just watch his other laps onboard and compare.

Walks like a duck...

I did that. Now you do the same thing. He could have parked the car close to the barrier ensuring yellow flags

This.
If he parks it in the barriers, he would damage his car, he does not want to damage his car, he just wants yellow flags!

How? Surely the whole point of deliberately parking the car is that is that he would then act as if it was a mistake rather than stand there celebrating?

That celebration pretty much confirms it.
Posted 24 May 2014 - 13:13
He definetely had a different, VERY UNUSUAL line into the corner.. Thats all im going to say for now.
Posted 24 May 2014 - 13:13

Yes because everybody does the same.

No cause that would damage the car

What if Hamilton had done the same? He would have hit at least one thing during him stopping. Rosberg should have known instantly he should have parked later on.
