Did Hamilton make a mistake at the qualifying for the British GP?

As we all know, the team asked Lewis whether he thought he would be able to improve his time, because if he didn't, he should let Nico through. Lewis then decided to abort his lap and let Nico by and as a result Nico scored another pole while Lewis will start from a disappointing sixth in front of his home crowd tomorrow.

What do you think, was it yet another quali mistake from him?

is this thread necessary? hamilton himself admitted the error was of his own doing.

Sorry chaps, but I just got here. I don't have the time to run through all the new topics and messages after not being here for days. Pardon me for that, but this is such a big board with so many members that sometimes it's inevitable that the same subject gets numerous topics. However, I haven't seen any topics regarding this question with a poll and I wanted to know your opinions so I created one.

Well, we do ask that people look to see if something's already being discussed/explained before starting new threads. I am also struggling to think what exactly you imagine the 'No, Hamilton made no mistakes here' arguments could possibly be. Closed.
