As the FIA ended the World Sportscar Championship after the 1961 season and introduced a Manfacturer's World Championschapionshipopen to GT cars only in 1962 the organisers from the Sebring 12 hrs, the Targa Florio, the Nüburgring 1000 kms and the Le Mans 24 hrs introduced the Challenge Mondial de Vitesse et d'Endurance for experimental cars (1962) and so called prototypes (in 1963).

According to all sources manufacturers had to participate in all four rounds to get championship points. Despite that I found different point standings for each of these years.

For 1962:

1 Ferrari 39 pts, 2 Porsche 35, 3 Alfa Romeo 25. (Sources: Peter Higham: The International Motor Racing Guide and Quentin Spurring: Le Mans 1960-1969)

1 Ferrari 40 pts, Porsche 23, Alfa Romeo 7. (Sources: Christain Moity: Endurance 50 ans d'histoire 1953-1963 and Janos Wimpffen: Time and Two Seats)

For 1963:

1 Ferrari 39, 2 Porsche 35, Jaguar 22, Alfa Romeo 10. (Sources: Peter Higham: The International Motor Racing Guide and Quentin Spurring: Le Mans 1960-1969)

1 Ferrari 38, 2 Porsche 30, Alfa 22. (Source: Christain Moity: Endurance 50 ans d'histoire 1953-1963)

1 Ferrari 36, 2 Porsche 17, 3 Jaguar 5, 4 Alfa Romeo and René Bonnet 5 each. (Source: Janos Wimpffen: Time and Two Seats)

So my rather easy but not simple question: Who is right?

I also found different point systems. According to some sources (e. g. Higham) it was 10-9-8-6-5-4-3-2 plus one point for every other finisher, but according to Wimpffen it was 10-8-6-4-3-2-1 plus one point for all manufacturers which started the race.

Does anyone have contemporary reports? I could hardly find any reference in my magazines ...
