I'm so happy for him . It's been fun to watch him have success in Stock...
I wish he was still in F1, but it seems F1 is more interested in running kids these days.

Yes, because why bother bringing up young talent...

I enjoyed Rubens passion and always loved to see him drive.
His first F1 win was a beautiful masterpiece in the wet in Germany 2000. Magnificent. Even his last win in Italy 2009 was wonderful.

Wondering if there will be a Petronas party with Rubens and Lewis.

Just look at the passion in that team photo. That's what it's all about. Such a popular guy, too. I doubt there'll be anyone who doesn't feel happy for Rubens!

watched a programme about Rubens a while back. He said when his parents ran out of money for his karting, his father sold his car to carry on funding his passion, and bought a bike to cycle to work. When he won his first F1 race he dedicated it to his father for the sacrifice he made. Always thought he was one of the nicest racers in the paddock, am glad he's still racing and still being successful

Young? They were rejected at Toro Rosso for being too old!
And congratulations, Rubinho! A fine driver (Donnington '93 was not just about Senna!) and an excellent human being.

Bless his son, so proud of his Dad he was moved to tears. I don't know how competitive Brazilian V8s are compared to DTM, but it's worth remembering that Rubens has taken the title in his first full season while several F1 drivers before him in DTM struggled to get the odd victory.

DTM // V8 500hp // 1120kgs with the driver
Brazilian V8's // V8 480hp // 1320kgs with the driver

I was thinking more in terms of the quality of the grid rather than the cars themselves but it's still interesting to see the numbers you gave. Quite a difference between the two series in terms of bhp per tonne.

I was watching.
When Barrichello ran out of tarmac and dropped from the lead after crossing a oil patch i almost had a heart attack. He managed to keep 4th place that was all he needed to get the championship, but it was nice that he could get to the podium to celebrate.
Congratulations !
It was a little bit difficult for Barrichello to addapt, the same happened in Indy, he lacked a 2nd season to show progress. If Massa goes back to race in Brazil when he retires from Formula 1, i believe he could do better; but Felipe is always very harsh on the CBA and may restrict himself to international racing.

Offtopic:
Add for a mobile internet provider. At the end Barrichello tries to upload the selfie to social media and moans: "Dude, this internet of mine it's very slow..." to wich the redhead guy replies "For YOU to say that it's slow...!" Hahahha.

Which, together with Formula Truck and "Copa Petrobras de Marcas Official Game", is one of the best, if not the best racing simulator out there at the moment. Reiza Studios have really taken the ISI gMotor2, and rFactor-engine to a fantastic level!
