I have a bit of a problem.

Years ago a friend and I did some engineering work on the Vector FFs. As part of the work I was given a complete set of the original engineering drawings for the cars. Over the years I've kept the drawings in good condition packed in a box thinking they might eventually be of use to someone who's racing a Vector in historical FF or simply as a small piece of motor racing history. Over the years I've exchanged messages with a couple of members of this form who expressed an interest in having them, but none ever came to anything. I'm now facing a posable move and really don't want to pack and tote them off to another home, but both the engineer and history lover in me makes me feel very uncomfotable just tossing them in the skip.

Anybody here need or have an interest in a (what should be!!) a complete set of drawings for the original Vector Formula Ford?

Gene:  Please see my message to you.  I will accept the drawings gratefully, and will pay costs to you in advance for their shipment.

Hi,

This is the best thread ever for me.

I have the first Vector F1600 imported into the USA.

I would like a copy of the drawings.  I would glady pay to copy and ship the drawings.

My car is TF93K.  The Vector was designed initially for the Zetec and the design was modified for the Kent engine.

TF stand for Titan and Fox. Wiet H. deceided to honor them by proposing to make the type-numbers start with their "initials" TF. The MG cars, stand for Mick Goldney, who bought the company and the design of Vector in 1994 because Vector was going bankrupt despite the success of the cars.
Background: Vector was started by Wiet (Designer) Titan (machined castings) and Chris Fox (fabricator)

I was able to meet Wiet a few years ago and thru my enthusiam, he purchased an early Zetec car in Europe.
As I purchased the cars as a damaged roller, I am converting the car to Honda Fit power.

Can one of you please respond to me?

Whoever acquires the drawings I know someone who currently competes in speed events in a TF93K Vector and would be delighted to get hold of a copy of the drawings.

What happened to Vector racing cars after Wiet left. He was clearly interested in the next big thing, a fantastic designer. They built 17 cars in the first year then vanished. Were they taken over? A fascinating man deserves a book about just him!

Cheers

There were a few Vector in Danish FF in period - Jan Neumann was one the drivers.
