I found the career the most disappointing of all, they barely improved upon that at all over the years. Too many crashers in multiplayer too but that is a given in any racing game.
Yeah, and I don't know what it is, but their games (particularly after 2010 and when they did away with the 'live the life' thing) don't seem to have a great deal of...well...excitement in the career mode. When you win the championship, all you really get is a congratulatory radio message from your engineer, and in between races there's not really much that makes you feel like you're in a championship battle. No real rivalries or whatever. As cheesy as the stories lines where in Toca 1 and 2, at least there was something in the way of plot. There was something going on in-between races.
Similar scenario with the original Grid as well. You had something to work for, whether it be unlocking new sponsors, building your team, hiring a new team mate, or whatever.
Basically, I want the F1 grids to try and be as intense as it no doubt is in real life.
