JPM is still inexperienced in F1 but is willing to have a go which will do him good but i can still see him making mistakes as he gets used tot he car and the circuits which allthough he raced on in F3000 there will be a few tracks that he doesnt know like Montreal and Suzuka
I think this could be one of the most exciting seasons in a while

I will probabaly get the same feeling when good drivers like Fisico, Trulli and some others will also get theirs.
However, to compare JPM to Ralfie, for some reason I feel that Ralfi is maybe a faster, more accurate driver, but JPM has more talent, and more of the "killer instinct", "arrogance", "self esteem" call it whatever you want, that something which sorts excellent/fast drivers from Champions.
Tough call, but I voted for JPM.
Most of all, I give a thumbs up to Sir Frank for his excellent choices

Frank hired great guys, so my vote goes for both of them.
Ralf has experience in comparison with JPM, he had to wait 70 Grand Prixes in order to win his first GP so at this point I'll say that JPM is in a learning period, and after all he is doing very good (I'm a JPM's fan so I dont want to exagerate), yeah he is doing pretty good.

Montoya was the Williams test driver before he went to Cart & IRL and kicked some butt. He is already as fast as Ralf.Originally posted by fifi

In one year, or maybe two years, my answer may be very different.

As a Formula 1 fan who is following the current season very closely, there is no question Ralf is on top right now.

Too bad he can't finish a race to prove it...

I remember a western "The Unforgiven", when a guy was surprised and disappointed to see that Clint Eastwood´s character was not very fast with the gun. Clint said something like :
"coming time, it does not care so much, how fast you are, but that you are able to aim and shoot"
And then he later took about 7 scared guys in a saloon cooly aiming and shooting.
I am sorry, but I did not see much pressure upon Ralf last Sunday. It was an easy win. I still want to see him with someone with a gun at him (so to speak)
And you have already had a glimpse of what Mr Pablum is able to do with a gun when he needs to, so to speak.

Ralf is having better results at the moment, but you cannot disregard the 70 GP experience advantage he has. I believe JPM can do better than Ralf, judging by his raw talent and racy spirit. But experience and team support do count.

Remember who his mate was ?
If u dont let me refresh it.
It was a triple world champ ,an anonymous Piquet and btw the young MS did not know the tracks.
But MS practicaly retired him .
So u r telling me that without beeing one second faster than Ralf
this jpm is gonna be the next SENNA ?

RS has won and proved that he's a great driver. It was a plain and clean win with no luck involved, just domination. he has been very consistent, comitted and fast. I think is maybe underrated because he isn't so mediatic than some others.
JPM is good and certainly is a special character (more mediatic) but only time will tell if he's really THAT good.
(BTW, JPM is often considered as a rookie, something I don't agree. Not a 100% rookie, that's sure)
I'm really happy for this win. RS and the whole Williams team really deserved it.
GREAT JOB!!!

And what a season it is going to be!
