Half to say the result is a tad surprising so far..that will change over time... I feel they are fairly even ok Ralf won today and dominated but the same could have been said for Monty in the last race..

i said Ralf at the moment he has done the best with the car, JPm could have possibly won in brazil biut we will never know
JPM is still inexperienced in F1 but is willing to have a go which will do him good but i can still see him making mistakes as he gets used tot he car and the circuits which allthough he raced on in F3000 there will be a few tracks that he doesnt know like Montreal and Suzuka
I think this could be one of the most exciting seasons in a while

yeah agree with you there fifi, first time three teams with two good drivers each have challenged for the championships for ages. Last time was.... earlier than I can remember, '90, '86 and '87 are the only one that comes to mind, and they were not as close as this season. Also todays race was easily the worst this year, and it was still really good. :)

I voted for both the same as I think there is very little to separate the two.

I think that JPM is a great driver, he has prove this in every point of his carrer, I think that is matter of time... Also people have to remember taht Juan Pablo is in his first year in F1 and all the circuits (not the european ones because of F3000) are new for him... Also remember that this weekend he don't took the Friday Practice and he had problem in the Saturday practice...

Let's see what happend...

Ralf at the moment, but Montoya is still relatively inexperienced. Wait till the end of the season, I'm sure he will be pushing Ralf hard.

I was kind of relieved to see RS finally win.

I will probabaly get the same feeling when good drivers like Fisico, Trulli and some others will also get theirs.

However, to compare JPM to Ralfie, for some reason I feel that Ralfi is maybe a faster, more accurate driver, but JPM has more talent, and more of the "killer instinct", "arrogance", "self esteem" call it whatever you want, that something which sorts excellent/fast drivers from Champions.

Tough call, but I voted for JPM.

Most of all, I give a thumbs up to Sir Frank for his excellent choices

I'll agree with thank-u.
Frank hired great guys, so my vote goes for both of them.
Ralf has experience in comparison with JPM, he had to wait 70 Grand Prixes in order to win his first GP so at this point I'll say that JPM is in a learning period, and after all he is doing very good (I'm a JPM's fan so I dont want to exagerate), yeah he is doing pretty good.

Montoya was the Williams test driver before he went to Cart & IRL and kicked some butt. He is already as fast as Ralf.

Currently, without a question, Ralf.

In one year, or maybe two years, my answer may be very different.

Spot on Dimo! Right now it is definately Ralf, he's the more complete driver. In future, who knows? The 'new king of F1' could turn out to be Fernando Alonso or some other 'SuperRokkie' we've yet to hear of.

As a Montoya fan who has followed his career from very early on, I have little doubt that he will prevail eventually.

As a Formula 1 fan who is following the current season very closely, there is no question Ralf is on top right now.

 He can finish a race, trust me. It's the car that doesn't seem to be able to do it...

I think Ralfie is best right now but Montoya has shown he has the potential to pull ahead in the future.

I remember a western "The Unforgiven", when a guy was surprised and disappointed to see that Clint Eastwood´s character was not very fast with the gun. Clint said something like :

"coming time, it does not care so much, how fast you are, but that you are able to aim and shoot"

And then he later took about 7 scared guys in a saloon cooly aiming and shooting.

I am sorry, but I did not see much pressure upon Ralf last Sunday. It was an easy win. I still want to see him with someone with a gun at him (so to speak)

And you have already had a glimpse of what Mr Pablum is able to do with a gun when he needs to, so to speak.

Only time will tell.
Ralf is having better results at the moment, but you cannot disregard the 70 GP experience advantage he has. I believe JPM can do better than Ralf, judging by his raw talent and racy spirit. But experience and team support do count.

I don't care.I don't feel the need to compare JPM and RS to assume that one is really better than the other.

RS has won and proved that he's a great driver. It was a plain and clean win with no luck involved, just domination. he has been very consistent, comitted and fast. I think is maybe underrated because he isn't so mediatic than some others.

JPM is good and certainly is a special character (more mediatic) but only time will tell if he's really THAT good.

(BTW, JPM is often considered as a rookie, something I don't agree. Not a 100% rookie, that's sure)

I'm really happy for this win. RS and the whole Williams team really deserved it.

GREAT JOB!!! :)

And what a season it is going to be!
