Hello all - I noticed there had been a thread about Brett in the past but, due to its age, most of the images and links have since expired. I am trying to collate an accurate collection of images around Brett's appearance in his M23 and M26 McLarens in 1977 and 1978. What I can find online so far is highly confusing as, not only did Brett's car's livery change more often than I change socks, there are also quite a few incorrect references with pics provided I suspect. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Or if anyone knows how to contact Brett these days, that would be super awesome! Thanks! Have a great Friday!

He also changed his helmet with depressing regularity. Mostly blue, but occasionally he had a plain white.

And here he is getting a tip or two from a factory mechanic.
I´m sure Nigel can tell us who he is!

Thanks Chris! I have one very specific question. Top Prize goes to whoever knows the answer! Which sponsor / technical parter is featured on the 3rd sticker below AP Lockheed and AP Borg&Beck on the side of the car?

Hmmm... that's a difficult one...
This is the closest shot I could find...Looks like it could be 'JT' something? But maybe that's not a 'T' or even a 'J'
If you haven't seen a color shot, the text/graphic is yellow on a black background...
Do you still need photos in general ?

Looks like Roy Reader to me. He's still working with the team

Hi guys - thanks for the kind replies and contributions!
The pic Vince linked to is not just an AWESOME image of the car but also confirms the JT detail of that specific sponsor sticker - so thanks very much!!!
@Fer312t, I now have a good collection but any you might have that are not on Google image search would be great. Thanks too re the colour tip, I'd managed to find that somewhere but it's good to get it confirmed!

Next question then ;-) ...who / which company is THIS sticker?
British Grand Prix... blue sticker below the Chesterfield "C"?

Does anyone have any pics of Brett in his overalls in 1977 and 1978?

It looks like a small sticker from Thursdays, which was some sort of trendy disco/nightclub. See the larger version on Alan Jones's Thursdays-sponsored F5000 March - photo courtesy of Allen Brown's ORC site:

They also sponsored the F1 RAM March driven by Patrick Neve in 1976.

Sorry for the long silence - putting the finishing touches to eight or so McLaren M23 and M26 cars in 1/43 scale, as raced by Brett. I've applied the correct liveries, had all the correct decals produced and everything. Let me know if you want me to put them online somewhere sometime. Thanks again all!

Probably a bit late if you have already had the decals made, but the sticker which has been debated above looks more like JY to me. I see that there is a clothing company in the US called JY Trading. Nearly 40 years ago so probably not the same company.
It would be interesting to see your finished models, ThursdayCar

Hi Alan, will drop a link to a gallery when they're all done!
I've had to interpret the sticker you are referring to (Black with orange) by simply reducing a photo of it to a decal. I couldn't redraw it, not knowing what it said, but now I can, thanks!
The separate Thursday's sticker conversation seems correct to me (on the Brand Hatch car).
