I'm sure you will be familiar with the formula2.net website which, again, is incomplete with regard to numbers, but a number of races which you list have some number information listed e.g. Enna 1973, Estoril 1975, Nuburgring 1975, Pau 1975 (partial), Zolder 1975

My very modest contribution: Mario Cabral was #4 in Grande Prémio (not Prêmio, that is brazilian portuguese, sorry about the pedantry) do Estoril de 1973 (source: its biography).  Russian site F1News.ru  provide numbers  to all F2 drivers that were also at any stage in their careers WDC competitors but since they usually do not correspond to the few in formula2.net I would not trust them at all.

According to the biblography the Sheldon books were one of the main sources.

 

In the Motoring News there is a report on the Coupe du Rhin (21st June 1973). However the only image of Coulon is 'long-shot' so his race number is not distinguishable.

Ooops. But surprising that there are no question marks with the numbers in my database. On the other hand, the fact that 11 is the lowest number indeed is a giveaway.

For Enna, there are numbers lower than 11 and the few numbers found match the numbers in my list. So I think I found an entry list somewhere where no numbers where given to the entries, but I guessed that they were in numerical order anyway. The few numbers found later support that theory and for the question marks, we just have to find more proof.

For the time being I will add all question marks in my database for Vallelunga. I also have a plan of digging up my old '70s magazines again to recheck everything from the days I was just beginning to create my databases (on paper, computers only came in the late 80's).

A couple of notes re. the Magny-Cours entry above, courtesy of Autosport's report:

Chateaubriand was the originally entered driver of Depailler's car but failed to come up with the cash for the drive.
Favre was never entered in Kessel's car (he was actually the team manager) but did do a few laps in the morning warm-up as Loris wasn't feeling well.

Mamers is listed on the grid with a Chrysler (ie Simca) which then blew during the race.

Not sure re. an entry for Larrousse, but apparently even Jabouille's arrival was something of a surprise as he'd told people at the previous race that he wasn't going to turn up.

Re. Coulon, that's exactly what happened.  According to the Autosport report Coulon (who was running the spare works March, the normal Beltoise car, as his own couldn't be prepared in time) and Jarier swapped chassis when the latter over-revved his engine.  Jarier had already taken the spare out for a few laps and set a time good enough for pole in it (albeit slower than his fastest in his 'proper' entry), but Coulon didn't drive his new mount in practice and therefore wasn't credited with a time.  BTW he also did a practice lap in Gubelmann's car, so this was his third different March of the weekend.
