Here's a silly game i like to play, And you can play it too.

Creepy-Old-Guy.gif

Here's how to play along at home:

The FIA have declared a regulation change for the 2016 season (V8 2.4l turbos for the sake of argument). You need to pick your ideal partnership, combining of a driver pairing, Team Principal and Race team. I know the likelihood of Frank Williams or Ron Dennis representing anyone other than Williams or McLaren is laughable, but please go along with it.

To spice things up, I've added a points system. All options in Red are worth 12 points. Blue is worth 8 points. And Brown is worth 4 points.

You have a maximum of 24 points available, so you can only use one of the red options. I hope that explains things.

Drivers

Seb and Kimi

Alonso and Button

Lewis and Nico

Daniel and Daniil

Valtteri and Felipe

Sergio and Nico

Carlos and Max

Pastor and Romain

Marcus and Felipe

Team Principals

Frank Williams

Ron Dennis

Christian Horner

Paddy Lowe

Vijay Mallya

Franz Tost

Monisha Kaltenborn

Maurizio Arrivabene

Gerard Lopez

Teams

Mercedes

Ferrari

RedBull

McLaren

Williams

Force India

Sauber

Lotus

Toro Rosso

Please don't ask why McLaren aren't top tier, or why Maurizio is bottom tier. I'ts too long and boring to explain.

I'll start things off:

I'd have Carlos and Max (4points) with Franz Tost (8points) in charge of Ferrari (12points).  = 24 points.

Alonso & Button (12) with Williams (8) and Maurizio Arrivabene (4)

Reasoning being, you need a car that is capable of winning or front-running because in F1 currently it doesnt matter how brilliant you are if you drive the crap cars.  Secondly you need drivers proven capable of winning and finally I don't think it matters who's name is on the door, so the least points on offer will suffice although Arrivabene has won while in charge so an easy pick...

If I pick Monisha Kaltenborn, can I choose two driver pairings?

Mods. When I previewed the post it kept the table I'd made, but once I posted it reformatted and turned into a bloody mess.

I think you'd always want one of the top teams, Mercedes or Ferrari would seem to be the best ones as of right now. Driver pairing is the second most important, Daniel and Daniil would be perfectly fine, Valtteri and Felipe would be pretty good too.

And who cares who the principal is, but Arrivabene seems like a nice guy.

No Manor.

I was thinking of having Manor as a 0-point option so then you could have two 12 point options. For the sake of the game it was easier to leave them out.

Valtteri, Felipe 8, Maurizio 4 and Mercedes 12.

I've reached the exact same conclusion here.

V8s eh.

Ferrari - comes complete with Allison.
Smiley Dan and Steeley Dan (for Jp).
Was tempted to plum for Monisha and send her on a shopping trip, but spotted Maurizio amongst that motley crew - doesn't look like he's done anything wrong so cheap at the price for 4 Dingleyboobles.

At the end of the day... it's the car stupid.

Remember it's the first year under new regs. Channelling development, distributing resources, race strategy and experience counts for something. Especially if the field's relatively tight.

Pastor and Romain (4 pts), Flavio Briatore (-20 pts), and Stefan GP's 2010 Toyota for the car (-50 pts).

Can I redeem my negative points balance for an airline ticket or something?
