Rosberg is on Pole by around a couple of tenths from team-mate Hamilton.

Vettel sits just behind the warring Mercedes pair in third followed by Bottas in a strong fourth for Williams.

The young Toro Rosso pair sit in a fantastic 5th and 6th with homeboy Sainz just ahead of Verstappen Jr, both will be looking to grab a strong haul of points and praying their Renault power units hold up the distance.

Behind them is a struggling Raikkonen, his last set of tyres was damaged by the tyre warmer leaving him trailing in 7th.

Next up are the Red Bull pair, Kyvat 8th and Ricciardo 10th split by Felipe Massa who must have been very disappointed with 9th.

The rest of the grid is apparently made up of Noah's automotive ark as the Lotus, McLaren, Sauber, Force India and Manor boys all go into the race 2x2.

McLaren didn't look as strong as perhaps mooted prior to the weekend and Force India were woeful. VJ Mallya's team will surely be looking to prove they haven't lost as much ground on race pace in today's race.

So who do you think will cross the line to grab all 25 points?

Can Rosberg hold off Hamilton?

Will Vettel provide a bigger threat in the race than he could in qualifying?

How about Raikkonen, can he overturn 7th into a podium?

Can Williams beat the Ferrari's?

Will Toro Rosso grab a double points finish and beat sister team Red Bull?

How many Renault engines can make it to the flag?

Are McLaren a points threat or will they spend the afternoon fighting Sauber?

So many questions. We should get plenty of answers come 3PM (UK time) this afternoon. Let's RACE!

1. Nico

2. See above

3. Nope

4. See above. I estimate Kimi will finish 4th or 5th

5. Bottas might beat Kimi.

6. Maybe

7. I will go with 3

8. Depends on DNF's and racing incidents. Their drivers have the talent to jump on any opportunity.

The slipstream opportunity at the start here is so great that in recent years it's about 50/50 whether the guy on pole keeps their lead into the first corner. Both Hamilton and Rosberg kept theirs in 2014 and 2013 however. But I'm expecting Hamilton to attack. And if it doesn't work there, then later.

It really depends if Lewis can get the right balance for the race, he is very adaptable, but he's not Superman! If he can dial out the excessive tyre killing oversteer without under steering like a pig, then it's game on. If not, Nico may drive off into the distance.

It does seems convenient for Rosberg that the Ferrari's have underperformed. There's a good chance Lewis will take over Rosberg like in the good old 2014 season. And no I don't think Williams will beat Ferrari, absolutely not. I do think Torro Rosso's have a good chance against Williams.

They've lost me here: "With immediate effect we will expect fuel pressure, in the high and low pressure systems, to remain constant above a flow rate of 90kg/hr,” wrote Whiting.

Why is it not allowed to dip below 90kg/hr? What if your demand is low?

Must be more to it, but for now it doesn't make sense to me.

I moved the stuff about the flow rate into the thread started about it so the conversation can all happen in one place: http://forums.autosp...on-of-cheating/

DRS seems awfully powerful in GP2. Lynn just closed up a 7 tenth gap on the main straight.

Historically, DRS hasnt worked on this track as the last series of corners is a very slow. Have they extended the DRS zone this year?

My suspicion is that Rosberg will be so focused on Lewis at the start that if Lewis gets alongside, Rosberg will try to push him wide and off track through turns one and two and leave an opening for Vettel.

Rosberg for the win, and an ease one; Lewis to play safe, he is not going to risk his points advantage in the first corner.

He only need to take care with Vettel, who use to squeeze people in starts...

If Lewis overcomes Rosberg today, how damaging will it be to Nico after his quali boost yesterday?

Or will it just be a case of 'brush yourself down and go again'? How many times can he brush?

I really don't see any advantage having two sets of hards. The Ferrari works like crap with the hard tires. Why wouldn't they go medium+medium+hard or in Kimi's case two stops..?

Podium will be shaped among Ham-Ros-Vet.

Kimi will be 4th at max.

Williams looks not bad as well.

I expect point finish from Alonso.

Can anybpdy tell me why it is at all necessary for all the drivers to be made to stand at the front of the grid before the race starts?

An utterly pointless idea.

Does anyone have any idea why this absurd idea was bought in?

Hulkenberg bribing Charlie Whiting to start 3 minutes earlier than the rest.  It seems convincing Charlie was too expensive though.

Been there since Russia last year. Moral of the story is to try to qualify at the front so you won't need to walk that far.

1. Whoever is ahead after the first corner.

2. If he is still ahead after the first corner, yes.

3. No, not unless Mercedes have problems.

4. No, 5th is my guess

5. No, Vettel will stay ahead of Bottas and Kimi in front of Massa

6. Hopefully, although probably around 8th-10th if they manage it

7. 3

8. Mclaren won't get points, although they may get 1 point if they are lucky

Lewis for the win
Rosberg can't hold him off
Vettel 2nd
No podium for Raikkonen
Williams will not overtake a Ferrari
For STR, RBR and McLaren it all depends on the Renault PU's blowing up or not
