Had too much Monaco and Indianapolis?

Have a Coke!

So why 600 miles? At Charlotte of all places?

BECAUSE.

Ok, ok, you want a story? Here is one, legend has that France felt he needed a last say of the day, so he setup the largest, craziest and late race of the Sunday. That's why France lost it's GP.

etc_hardchoices09__01__630x420.jpg

What's an extra 100 mile snooze anyway? eh? It's always handy on a late Sunday.

BmKhknpIMAAf8TB.jpg

(yet, this picture was taken on a Saturday)

So what is happening in Nascar anyway?

Well... the big stakes lottery is still happening.

The lucky winner gets a spot in the Chase.

chase.jpg

(Well, you gota store that doush somewhere)

Candidates range from obliterator JJ to oblivious Stenica Jr

vatrena-stenica.jpg

(no kidding! this is what you get if you google Stenica, maybe that Brad dude isn't so hollow head after all)

The stage is the always exciting *dodges flying grenade* Charlotte Motor Speedway! A place so amazing they painted the walls in yellow. Can't have too much over coolness.

(DISCLAIMER! I have no idea what this book is all about)

Cutting to the chase. (yes! this was a pun intended!)

Green flag is at 23:00 UK time, at least that's when the local mafia starts airing the race, maybe add some extra 30 minutes for pre-race anthem butchery and demo military parades.

I have no idea where the Nigeria lising is, they are busy figuring out Hamilton's stop strategy.

(aha! thought there would be no cats on the thread eh?)

No responses?  At start time?  Maybe Indy exhausted the fans.  Or the exhaust fans drowned out the fans.  Or whatever.  I just became a cat lover--or a cat lover wannabe.  Anyway, nobody loves me--so far.

Gotta have one response, anyway.

How'd I get an ad on my post?

I know I'm exhausted, and I didn't even watch Monaco. (I'll watch it on the Monday holiday, promise.)

I have what I assume is an illegal stream which is currently flashing psychedelic colours. Can't get this on Premiere Sports.

I am watching.

A bit disappointing the day has to end. I wish there was a WEC round to cap off the racing.  :rotfl:

You are right, we need Victor to work that one out, perfect scenario would be a 12 hour race ending on top of Monaco

They should have a constant companion WEC race that starts at the same time as the Monaco GP and lasts until the chequered flag in Charlotte.

Nascar would overextend it on purpose, which is fine since you would be entertained up until the GWC

Thank you Red.

This weekend really took it's toll on me and I'll only really feel it tomorrow. Can I last the whole race? Carlsberg says 'maybe'.

I am a fanatic, but I don't know if I could handle that.

Actually I could, but I have to leave all social BS out the window.

Btw, rooting for Edwards. Hey, remember four years ago when Edwards lost the championship because of the Chase, but for fans of Smoke like I am it was really awesome?

Actually there was a Blancpain Endurance race after Monaco, but unfortunately I missed that one. Not quite WEC, but still good semi-endurance racin'.

I can guarantee that the fans there are drunk enough to enjoy 600 miles.

Gordon drove the pace car over at Indy. I think that'll do for this year.

The world got to experience a textbook nascar finish at Monaco earlier...late caution, pits makes the difference, clean air parade restart, deserving winner reduced to scrapping for a podium.

Speaking of Mercedes Stewart Haas piling on laps led, we'll see if Truex can break through.

Another 4Th turn spin for Johnson this race and year! Would if Knauss will bother with more motivational abuse since they are in the garage

Edwards was my second pick, so I can finally go to sleep feeling quite good about myself. Great races, fun times. My Monday is destroyed.

Truex can't get a break again, furniture row had some near misses with Busch previously as well. Well played strategy by Edwards and top 4

Cool ****, I don't mind a backflip from time to time.

Truex is just **** out of luck every time.

I was hoping for a Truex victory but I don't mind Edwards winning. A good guy and well deserving of the win.

That said, they need to find a better track to run the 600 at. Every year I keep thinking I might be excited by the race, and every year I am unenthused by the end of it.

At least Danica Patrick still sucks. I can get excited about this.
