Greetings all!

I just joined the Autosport Forums, and was delighted to find so much historical info here. Great resource!

I have started an ambitious project to try and identify former and existing Mini race cars, and collect as much information as possible with regard to the history of Mini racing in North America from the early 1960's to the present day (classics only of course). The ultimate goal is to create a "virtual museum" to electronically archive this valuable information before it is lost forever.

What started this project off? My husband and I have restored two race Minis with SCCA competition history from the 1960's, and through researching our cars it became obvious that information was quickly disappearing. Sadly, not much emphasis or value was placed on the lesser more common cars that raced during those days, and they were highly disposable. Many were turned into street cars, used for parts, or simply abandoned when they ceased to be raced.

In particular, I am searching for Mini-related content for the following events:

1. 1966 Nassau Speed Weeks
2. Sebring 4 hour Sedan races, 1966, 1967, & 1968
3. SCCA Great Lakes & Northeast division race results, photographs, etc. for C-Sedan

4. Under 2L Trans Am, 1966 onwards

While my research focus is with the Mini, I have collected some content that might be of interest to others, including complete scans of original race programs from Mid Ohio. I have the following to share if anyone is interested:

1962 Mid Ohio Yearbook (first SCCA race at Mid Ohio, history of the track build, etc.)

1966 Mid Ohio National Championship program
1966 Mid Ohio USRRC program
1967 Mid Ohio Nationals program
1967 Mid Ohio USRRC program

1968 Mid Ohio Trans Am program

I would welcome any contributions or referrals to people who could assist with my project. I can be reached via email at arperformance@Hotmail.com

Cheers,

Rachel Nelson
