This car was bought and imported to the UK from america in 2003 and is now restored anyone in the USA recognise this car please.

Ps i have seen this car on piston heads with a write up frankly the write up does not sit right with me. I have also worked with kirk at lotus 30 .com

I have been given a lead does anyone know of curtis jacksons  near oxford GA they may have owned this car at some time.

I met and spoke with Bob Dove who worked on a lotus 30  the pink stamps car when he finished with that an American oil man got Bob to look at a 30 he got from A Portuguese racing driving school his name was Rob Thurman it had a coupe top. which is what i am chasing any one know of the Portuguese racing  driving school this is the late seventies. The 30 was stored in a lock up at primrose hill London. I looks like it was bought from a small industrial estate or builders yard timber buildings tin roofs

dartford kent area the car was stored outside by all accounts.

Just adding some more to the thread this car was blue and had a coupe top we are talking about mid to late seventies in the London area.

When it was found there was no engine or ZF box just a rolling chassis. and looking a little tired.

Thanks mike thats leif norburgs car who passed away a 12month ago it is finishing its restoration with Motorama 30/L/16

with further research I am leaning  towards a 30 that went out to Angola and was run by the auto club De Angola there with very little success. After complaining to lotus the car was returned  and a 23 was exchanged the thirty being left at the factory.The reason i am thinking that this is the car is it has a story with the car that it was run by a Spanish racing drivers school a long shot i know but you have to follow all leads. i f you have any thoughts against or for this theory i would be pleased to have your thoughts. andy bradshaw.
