Don't know if this is good news for F1 fans or not. Since we only have a 1 yr contract we were hanging by a thread anyway.

Speedvision Not Part of Potential NASCAR Channel

Speedvision chief Roger Werner had this to say about Speedvision and the NASCAR Channel: “Speedvision has been involved in conversations with NASCAR since the summer of 1999 regarding the creation and development of a NASCAR channel. Contrary to rumors, those discussions have in no way been related to converting Speedvision into a NASCAR channel, nor has there been any discussion of NASCAR purchasing Speedvision for that purpose." “In that same vein,” Werner continued, “there are no discussions underway between Fox and Speedvision regarding the conversion of Speedvision to a NASCAR channel. Furthermore, Speedvision’s contracts with cable affiliates and other programmers would make that scenario very unlikely.”
