I have written a book about the Gold Cup meetings 1954 to 1974, the Mid-Cheshire years, and whilst I have done quite well getting new unseen photos for every year I am still missing material for 5th October 1957 (which was a shared Bike meeting with Chester MC)
Does anyone know of anyone who may have photos of this meeting. (cars and bikes)
There were two car races and three motorcycle races. The two solo races were won by John Surtees on Norton and M.V., the sidecar event was won by Cyril Smith and Eric Bliss on a Norton.
I am also interested to know if anyone knows who the passengers were on the other combinations that day.
