He was named as the fastest guy in Japan but Kazuyoshi Hoshino just drove the two 70s Japanese Grand Prix.

There were rumours about a comeback for the 1994 Japanese Grand prix for Benetton.

 

And he tested for Williams in 1987. What was this test about?

 

Were there never plans about a full season from Hoshino? Why not?

I think back then in late 80's/early 90's he was already too old for a fully competitive drive, it would have been great for him, Hasemi and even Takahashi to find a team after their performances in Japanese G.P. of 1976.
