Is this the same car, the Skip Scott McLaren?. You posted the above photo previously.
If so, I am puzzled by the chin spoiler in the top photo.it appears different and different from other McLarens.
Could you explain please.

Hi D28 - yes it's that same model and here is the car as it was, in a much earlier post of mine.
I am not an expert but from the many cars I have been researching it would appear that many, or most, drivers came up with their own fabrications, from the simple 'standard' lip to two separate winglets, to deep chin spoilers that needed brackets to hold it up, to this thing, that Skip ran (and a few others who ran similar shapes). Many remained unpainted, but Skip seems to have had his painted in the same classy silver-blue as the rest of the car.
The spoiler in the images above is in fact the same item in both images, just painted and perhaps filed into shape a little more.
